Lack of staff around the pool area. Had to walk to the bar to get drinks. Staff would pick up the cups but dont even ask if they can get anything else. Staff dont great visitors. Does have alot of variety when it comes to food. Enjoyed the pool, sports bar, coffee cafe, casino and dance club. The kids club and waterpark is a walk to get too.

Second time in Punta Cana and this resort was amazing in terms of food, shopping, beach and pool access. Only complaint was the the room. Design is amazing but room was a little bit old especially the bathroom situation. Drain wasn't working properly, there's barely water coming out from the faucet. Requested for room change initially which they denied. No hot water on the first day but they sent someon to fix it after 4 attempts of requesting maintenance. I would go back here but probably will get an upgraded room.

At first this resort was stunning. Very friendly staffing but not clean at all. We stayed for 7 days, not once were our sheets changed. The cleaning was a quick clean. Had to ask many times for towels, and the room service would come at different times some times 9 am or 5pm. Eventually I didn’t feel safe eating and drinking here. Many on the water bottles were not sealed. The larger bottles they would save and would come back with them refilled and no lid. They were using tap water at the bars. My partner got food poising from the Asian restaurant. The restaurants were the most edible food but you had to make a reservation for each restaurant and we couldn’t get a reservation at many. Had one nice pool but no view of the ocean from it. Lots and lots of stray cats. Which I don’t mind but my significant other is highly allergic and scared of cats. One of the cats was injured and another had small kittens overall I probably seen about 30 or more cats.

The staff was very difficult to communicate with. No one was helpful when you asked questions. The shower in one of our rooms would not drain. Instead of giving us new water bottles everyday, they would refill our used bottles with water. This was highly concerning because of the extremely poor water quality in that area and the high likelihood of sickness associated with the water. I would not visit this property again.

Check in was horrific. We waited over 3 hours for a room while my toddler was in melt down mode. The room itself is not super impressive- very basic. No tubs, just a shower and the room had a musty smell that lingered all week. On a positive note- the food was outstanding. But be sure that you book your reservations for the week upon your arrival because spots fill up quick and then you are limited to the buffet or room service. The room service was very disappointing- food was gross and no kid friendly or real healthy options. But the restaurants were all very good, clean and impressive in comparison to other resorts I've visiting in Punta Cana. The Breakfast and lunch buffet were awesome as well. The resort is big so be prepared to do some walking- but nothing that isn't easily manageable. My family is active and actually enjoyed this aspect including my 5 year old who had no issues keeping up. The resort itself is beautiful, nice pools, beach is gorgeous blue & soft clean sand. The gym is 5 star & loaded with equipment. The Spa was disappointing. My husband and I booked massages and neither of us really enjoyed ours. It was also disappointing to find out that you couldn't just use the amenities- steam room, sauna, hot tub ect without booking a separate appointment and paying an additional $20. The water parks are nice for kids, my daughter loved the arcade and smaller scale kids pool. The service was disappointing. It is very evident that tips are expected.

Firstly check-in wasn’t smooth at all and front desk staffs were not welcoming. We weren’t even offered welcome drinks. Room was ok. The disappointment was the room floor was so slippery and room didnt feel clean. The buffet was also ok, but few staffs at buffet was very nice and kind. I don’t think we will come back again.

If you have small children, be prepared to walk very far for any of their activities. The layout is very inconvenient and there are no dining options every day between 11-1230. Staff is incredibly unfriendly.

Absolutely beautiful resort. I love the water features everywhere. There's plants and trees everywhere and they're all maintained very well. The layout takes some getting used to. Pay attention when concierge takes you to your room. There's hallways and buildings in all directions it seems. The boulevard is wonderful but seems detached from the main resort. The resort has a slight mildew smell especially on the first floor rooms. AC is also lacking. It's not bad in the main areas but the AC in the rooms is a big issue for not only my wife and I but everyone in our group. The AC is weak and will struggle to get the room cool enough to sleep comfortably at night. The biggest issue is multiple people in our group said the AC would stop working in the middle of the night. Seems like it's on a timer. I would have to turn the AC off and back on again. The lowest the AC will go is 64.4 F but it will never actually get there. The room is beautiful and large. Nice touches everywhere. Seems modern. USB outlets and power everywhere. The balcony is huge. Nice places to sit. The collapsible drying rack on the balcony was useful. The shower is huge. I would've preferred sacrificing some of the shower space by putting in a second sink in the bathroom. The toilet sometimes has a sewage smell. I liked the dining options. This is one of the premier resorts in the Dominican Republic. I highly recommend this resort if you are looking to have fun! There is always something to do here or you can just relax and not be bothered! The beach does have quite a lot of locals trying to sell you something though! We had a leak in our air conditioner and it was fixed immediately upon sending in the repair request to concierge, otherwise the room was quiet and cool! The staff are for the most part very upbeat and excited to assist! I recommend booking your dinners for the week upon arrival as dinner time slots go fast. We did not have any negative dinner experiences however the buffets are hit and miss(to be expected at all inclusive).

Lopesan Costa Bávaro was a very nice resort. I would say it does give 5-star quality in terms of location, service and the beauty and spaciousness of the hotel, but there were some areas where they lacked greatly. For instance, the food selection for the buffet could have been better. Offering more Americanized dishes would have been helpful for those who are picky eaters such as one of my teenagers. Also, the arcade and bowling prices were way too expensive for an all-inclusive. Truthfully, these things should have also been all-inclusive like they are at S
