I’ve stayed at GSR before and was disappointed. This room looked older. The fridge rattled all night. A maintenance guy showed up just as we were checking in to fix something (a broken cabinet door) thay should have been fixed prior to our 5pm check in.

Been quite a few years since we have stayed here. Updated the entire place-very modern feel. Room was very nice, age just starting to catch up looking at bathroom floor and shower tile, carpet etc. The one major negative is cigarette smoke smell. And we didn’t notice many people smoking which was weird. It is overwhelming in the casino and also in our non-smoking room. I am not at all sensitive or usually bothered by smoke either. Definitely need to upgrade the ventilation system and change the air more.

Nice property

This was our furst stay at Grand Sierra Resort. The property is huge with many chouces for dining. Our room was newly remodeled, very large, with a beautiful big bathroom. Downsides were that we never could get hot water in the beautiful shower (16th floor), and check-in and check-out service was poor. Each took more than 20 minutes because the counters were understaffed with onlt 1 or 2 clerks working.
