Loved this hotel. Located just a short drive (or Uber) outside of the city, it's a nice, clean, fairly modern space. Staff could not have been nicer or friendlier, breakfast - which was included for us - was great and plenty. Parking is key, and convenient for us to get out to sightsee and explore the city, but also for a quick getaway to the airport early in the morning. Spa amenities are lovely, and overall the stay was excellent. We didn't eat at Hekla, but right downstairs and has good ratings. Food looked good as we were going by, and customers seemed to be enjoying it.

Rooms were clean but average, I was in and out of downtown so I changed rooms a couple times. The amenities in each room were different, so that was weird (wash cloths, soap and so on in one room but not the other). The staff was beyond accommodating, polite, and incredibly informative. The hotel spa and evening restaurant was very pleasant. Staff in the main restaurant and spa lovely, though younger members may need training. Delivered wrong drinks and brought the bread with the soup after the meal was served but were very apologetic and lovely. Food was excellent, Staff in the breakfast area however rude and ignorant. Ended up making an official complaint. It was a mixed bag really. Some customer training required to improve standards.
