Overall not bad for the price. The outlets were not great, and some of them didn't work properly. Little room space but that was expected. The staff there were very nice and kind. The location of the hotel was a little unexpected but once you walk out of the alley way there is a lot of great food places and things to do in the area.

This a great hotel, one of the favourites for us in the whole trip. It is in a perfect location, walkable to many of the top destinations in Seoul and near transit if needed too. It's cute that the entrance is off an alleyway. The room was small, but had everything we needed, and comfortable beds. The mini fridge, the air conditioning, and the rooftop patio were all lovely additions. I just wish the cafe was open earlier in the morning for breakfast and coffee!

Clean, Comfortable, and Great Hospitality

I stayed one night at Grid Inn Myeongdong for a business trip, and I was genuinely impressed. The most important factor for me when choosing a hotel is cleanliness — and this hotel exceeded my expectations. The bed sheets, pillows, bathroom, and overall room were spotless. I was pleasantly surprised by how well-maintained everything was. Another standout feature was the Wi-Fi. Compared to other hotels I’ve stayed at, the speed was excellent — I tested it and got 400 Mbps download and 300 Mbps upload, which is rare for hotels in this price range. The staff were also incredibly kind and helpful, just as many other reviewers mentioned. As a thoughtful gesture, the owner even gifted me a used umbrella when I checked out because I didn’t have one — such hospitality really stood out. I stayed in the standard room, and while it was quite small, it wasn’t an issue for me since I was only there to sleep. Overall, I highly recommend Grid Inn and will definitely return in the future.

The staff spoke English fairly well, so communication wasn’t a problem. They also let me drop off my luggage in the morning and check in early at 2 PM, which was really convenient! However, the room was very small, and the hotel was located deep in an alleyway. I don’t think it would feel safe for women to walk there alone at night. Also, water pooled on the shower floor because of poor drainage. I realized that cheap hotels are cheap for a reason… Personally, I wouldn’t stay at this hotel again. Next time I visit Korea, I’d rather pay a bit more to stay somewhere nicer.

We had a great stay! The staff was very friendly and welcoming. We really appreciated the free washers and dryers, and the ability to drop off our luggage before check-in was a big help. The place was very clean, quiet, and in a fantastic location—right next to the subway and close to lots of restaurants and shops. Highly recommend!

The property is in between Myeongdong and Iksedong. It is outside of the bustle of tourists so it is nice if you are willing to walk a little for more peace during the nights. The entry is in an alley way so it can be hard to get to if you have wide luggage but not impossible. The area is also paved with stones so rolling luggage can be brought through. I had stayed in hostels during my time in South Korea so this place is a nice step up if you want a personal room.

Grid Inn is located in the middle of some small alleys and streets that may sometimes be awkward to navigate, however once you get to the hotel itself, it is truly a comfortable, convenient and clean establishment. The staff are extremely nice and welcoming. One of the best accommodations during my trip.

We really enjoyed staying at the Grid Inn. Everything was clean and thoughtfully designed. The entire team were kind and helpful. Additionally, they helped us booking KTX tickets and came of with solutions. The complementary use of the washer and dryer was a pleasant surprise. Lastly, fantastic location, major sites on walking distance or reachable by public transport that's 2 min walk away. Will definitely stay here again for our future Seoul visits.

Room is nice & clean. Room has all we need even if its small. Close to lots of restaurants & easy access to main road for transport. Just have a small alley to entrance though. Wish there is a divider between toilet & shower area. Floor gets wet all over when using shower. Language barrier between clients & one young staff in front desk created bad relations. She was not friendly.

Hidden in an alley, which my look a bit sketch, but all good--very safe. You'll be able to see the sign from the alley, but they have two entrances. The one I went through, as soon as I opened the door, the guy came rushing out, grabbed my bags and lead me to the front desk.Very close to the subway, which has three different lines, and great location as its easy to get places from this location by subway or walking. May need to exit at an different exit and walk up a bit, if having lots/heavy luggage, like i did. Luckily one side had an escalotor (exit 14) that went up. The closest exit (exit 15) has only stairs. Free laundry use and detergent provided! You were able to turn on the a/c fan if the room got too hot. They even called to ask if i needed cleaning, if I wasn't out by 11:30 a.m. Had a shared microwave in hall. Staff were friendly and let me sort out my luggage in the lobby, as I had to checkout. Cons: Didn't like how the shower screen had a space between the floor, so water would "leak" onto the bathroom floor, but it didn't go all over so it was fine for a short stay. Also, room was smaller than other places I've stayed in S.Korea. Huge bed took much of the space but was comfy. I managed with my huge suitcase but had to figure out how to open it fully in room. Might be tight for two people, especially with big luggage. So, would recommend for a short stay. Would stay again.

My only complaint is that the hotel's lighting is dim. The building is tucked away in an alley but very close to the subway station. Walking there at night might feel a little sketchy, but you just have to remember south Korea is so much safer than north america. Then you'll realize that guy that appears to be following behind you us just going the same way

The staff at the front desk are very courteous and helpful. The free laundry was a bonus and the metro station was so close by and with so many shops and restaurants within walking distance. We would definitely stay here again.
