Make sure u are not put up on second floor with a dog especially when lift not working. Check with hotel on day and get ground floor room.floor room

Poor customer service

Arrived for check in told room wasn't ready so had to wait 20 minutes while others arrived and were checked in why. I booked a kingsize bed to be given a bed which in fact was two singles pushed together not what I booked or wanted. Special occasion ruined thanks.

Cold

Pros: Friendly waiting staff. Helpful reception staff.
Cons: Maintenance
We checked into room 602 which is in the old part of the building. It was a very long trek from Reception and there were many flights of stairs to access the room. On opening the door a cold blast of air hit us. When we checked the one radiator, it was only lukewarm at the top and hot at the bottom- it needs bleeding which is a simple job to do. The dressing area and bathroom were very cold as was the bedroom. There was only one spotlight working in the bathroom. I reported this to reception and when we returned to the room, a portable heater had been supplied, although it was too small to heat the room. I switched it off overnight and it was too cold to have a shower the next morning. Very disappointing- it would take very little maintenance to bring the hotel up to scratch.

Tranquil location.

Our second visit, we enjoyed excellent evening meal in the restaurant and great breakfast, so much choice and unlimited coffee, which we were able to enjoy in the lounge after breakfast. Staff extremely friendly and efficient.
