Great location

Pros: Good location and close to off licence, restaurants and corner shop
Cons: The hotel is very dated and needs to be refurbished
Good things: comfortable bed, nice bathroom, great shower, very clean bathroom, good location, the breakfast buffet was very comprehensive....I cant think of anything that was missing. Bad things: in 3 nights and 4 days no one came to clean our room so we ran out of toiletries and toilet paper and had no tea or coffee things replenished. We called reception and asked for clean towels which came immediately and we also got some extra tea and coffee. No milk was provided though for drinks and when we asked reception for milk none was brought so we didn't end up having any drinks in our room.

Nice hotel, good price, location not so great

Pros: breakfast, restaurant
Cons: staff,
Location: close to the ladies market, close to underground
similar standard as other hotels from this chain. the restaurant was really good serving good food. unfortunately bar didn't have drinks. staff wasn't able to explain trams connections to main area in the city center where all the restaurants / bars are. when you come of the hotel take nr 22 towards your left side and than come out near the mosk and than take nr 18 towards the statue where the lady is. Overall good hotel

Best Western Bristol. Sofia Bulgaria

The GOOD stuff. Friendly helpful staff all speak English. Great food. The room was a nice design and standard. Now the BAD stuff. The A/C did not work. The bed and pillows smelled like they got sick on them and was never cleaned properly. All the streets in the area of the hotel are covered with car garages and motor factors. It was like sleeping in a industrial estate sorry NOT sleeping. The tram line ran just outside the hotel day and night and the building vibrated and shuck every time it went past. Shame, Sofia is a great place with great people. Lots of respect for them all thanks

Good business location

I was very happy with my stay in late March for business in central Sofia. The room was spacious, clean, bathroom good size (but no bath). Bit of a curry smell came up from the kitchen one night. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good but I would have liked to have been able to get a lightly boiled egg (one minute egg). This was at the top end of other business stays I have taken over the last 2 years in other European countries. I would go back again here. I regret not being able to tip the porter and chambermaid because I only had large denomination lev notes as I was leaving.

Great base to explore western Bulgaria

Stayed for 7 nights whilst exploring Sofia and day trips by train (central station about 20 mins walk from Hotel). Nothing but praise for the Hotel, staff very friendly and spoke English and excellent selection for breakfast - didn't try the lunch or dinner in the Hotel but plenty of places to eat locally. Great room on 6th floor - a bit noisy with window open but fine if closed and good views out over the city. All facilities fine - wifi a bit slow but if you bring an ethernet cable can connect free to Hi Speed Internet. About 10 min walk to the centre. I regularly travel for work in the UK and this hotel was better than most I've stayed at.
