It is a small resort. Enjoyed the Guy Harvey art. Housekeeping was unpredictable. Had to ask for towels, TP and tissues. For staying 8 days, only straightened up our room 2 times. Over all, we did enjoy ourselves. Fresh squeezed orange juice, breakfast and a dinner in Santiago’s was all really good. Room was clean, I checked corners, they were clean! Bed was comfy, pillows not so much. Pool area and “Tiki” bar was nice. They had a musician playing M-W-F, a nice touch. Everything shuts down at 8. We will go back since we did get to relax on the beach and pool.

False information

Not greeted upon arrival, stood at front desk waiting to check in, we were the only guests at the desk & there were 4 employees working behind the desk! This is a very very old hotel that has guy Harvey’s name & artwork. Could hear everyone’s dogs barking! Noisy hotel! Their Tiki bar smells so bad, smells like vomit. There was a sign at the front desk that said they were having 2 Easter egg hunts. One at 11am for ages 0-5 years. One at 11:20am for ages 6 & up. My daughter is 6 years old. We were there for the 11:20am hunt for her age. They did not have an Easter egg hunt at 11:20am like the sign said. That was false information. I have a picture of the sign that was at their front desk. I wouldn’t stay here again.

The resort is extremely noisy You can easily hear the flushing of toilets in other rooms, the noise of the rooms doors slamming loudly and constantly as do the doors around the pool nobody controls people partying in the pool area at night which is very annoying The pool is too small and the bar offers no food, which is a pain. I do not recommend and will not return.

The Restaurant/Bar was very good and food items were priced well. The pool bar prices seemed a touch high, but you are paying for convenience. There is easy beach access and it is beautiful! We were able to have the Beach Bus pick us up at the hotel to take us into Old Town for the trolley tour, which was also very convenient. Overall, a wonderful stay and I have no problem recommending this Hotel!

The staff was great and we were able to check in early which was great. It’s an awesome location right on the beach and beds were comfortable. The lobby is beautiful but the actual rooms are very old and need remodeling. You can hear everything in the rooms on either side and in the hallway. We will not be staying here again.

Not what we expected

The room was not what we were expecting. The pictures online were deceiving. The room was damp and smelling of dirty, wet carpet. We didn’t have a balcony so keeping the sliding door open could not have contributed to the damp room. The bathroom was in need of some TLC. There was rust and peeling paint on just about every surface in the bathroom. The hotel staff was very nice. The amenities like the pool, indoor restaurant and bar, outside bar, beach, and pool rentals were great. However, we did not have a room that we felt like we could go back to and be comfortable. We ended our stay a day early because our room was not relaxing. With all the other hotel options, we will not be returning to this hotel.
