“Garden view”

Disappointing. We paid a little more than we usually pay for hotels because we wanted a two-night stay in a scenic area. The room choice specified GARDEN VIEW, but in fact was PARKING LOT VIEW. We asked reception about a garden view and were told “this is the room you booked.” Other than the fact we usually had our curtains closed so that we had some privacy, the room was fine.

Pretty setting but ....!

I stayed in the annexe. The room was okay but I didnt expect to see patchy, peeling paint on the one wall and didnt have a comfortable chair - just the one dining chair - which is odd since the room was for 2 people, nor did it have a side or coffee table. Room also was cold and had a slight feeling of damp. To be fair it had warmed up after dinner. Food was ok, except my bacon was burnt and the sausage was over cooked and dry. Not what Ive come to expect from a 4 star hotel.
