"We had a brilliant room overlooking the waterfront with a full glazed screen; I would say 50% of the rooms offering a view of the waterfront have such glazing and the rest will offer a view through a smaller standard window. The communal lounge with its enormous modern feature fire place offered heat from a continual log burning fire was a nice addition and there were a variety of good seating areas elsewhere."

"Lovely stay in Ålesund with exceptionally helpful staff. A wonderful view from the bedroom. The bedroom was quite compact - couldn't imagine staying as a couple but fine as a solo trip. Great breakfast with lots of choice - takeout breakfast was lean by comparison (one sandwich and piece of fruit)."
