Tokyo Imperial Hotel first luxury hotel established in the 1890s, the current building is the third generation and is beginning to show its where. There is a master plan in progress to redo the entire hotel. Meanwhile, service continues to be excellent, the variety of restaurants exceptional, and location the best in Tokyo. This was my second stay at the Imperial Hotel Tokyo and I will gladly return. One of my best mesls ever was at Les Saisons, Michelin starred restaurant on the mezzanine. Thank you Imperial Hotel Tokyo.

This is not a great hotel

I told them I was sensitive to noise so they gave me a room next to the train tracks. We asked them to help us heat up food… no help. Bowing and white gloves aside, from a customer service perspective they’re not great. I doubt they understand this though. In any case, I wouldn’t stay here again, especially considering how old and shabby the rooms actually are…

I had high expectations for this hotel! My husband has stayed here 30 years ago and speaks highly of the services! The check-in process was very smooth and we were taken to our room by very friendly staff. However our room was very far from the elevator’ I wonder if it’s because we booked it through Hoel.com instead of directly with the hotel. Also there were no bathrobes! We had to wait for twenty minutes for the famous breakfast buffet on the 17th floor. We had to wait a long time for our second cup of coffee! There doesn’t seem to be enough servers.

This is an old and venerable Hotel one of the first western-style hotels in Tokyo established in 1890, the current building I believe is the third Hotel on this location. That being said it has a lot to live up to and does so honorably. Although the building itself is dated, the service and amenities more than make up for it. Best of all is the location, this is the center of Tokyo, major Transit Hub nearby right on the park Clean safe walkable neighborhood. I had a wonderful stay, looking forward to my next visit in 2 weeks. Thank you Imperial Hotel Tokyo!
