Excellent hotel. Staff very helpful and clean modern rooms. Good location. Lots of conbini and restaurants in area. Only odd thing was no white rice offered at breakfast buffet. Very unusual for Japan.

Exceeded my expectations. Overall hotel experience was excellent. Nice calm ambience. Busy but quiet and orderly. Great service from the whole team. The lounge area was inviting and there was a complimentary coffee and tea station as well as quality snacks. The room was small but well designed, new and clean. Breakfast buffet was high quality and lovely setting. We really enjoyed our stay - thank you!!

What a great hotel. The staff are lovely and so helpful. It has a quality feel to it, slightly quirky with the library theme ( a huge Christmas tree made of books for eg), Our only niggle was that the pillows were too hard for us - and it only occurred to us on the third morning (check-out day) that if we had asked they would almost certainly have changed them for us. Other than that the bed was very comfortable (and huge). Thanks all at Shiba Park.

The room was a good size for a single with a king size bed. The breakfast had options of food, both Japanese and Western. Each floor has its own water dispenser. Loved the library theme of the hotel. Staff was very helpful from check-in to check-out. Location was convenient to the Tokyo Tower 🗼. There was a laundry room on 4th floor (didn’t use it since I was at the beginning of my trip). Only down side was distance to train station was at least 10 min walk away, which is far after a day of walking.

We loved the location, quieter than other areas but still located near multiple public transport options making it easy to get around still. The hotel staff were all lovely and accommodating. We would definitely stay here again if visiting Tokyo.

Immaculate room, comfortable beds and pillows; exquisite library of books to browse; lovely bathroom products (all bamboo), including products for a mini facial; joined in a wonderful walking tour organised by hotel (free, led by a local volunteer); easy 5 min walk to major metro lines; convenience stores very close; gluten free bread and separate toaster available on breakfast buffet, and top allergens listed for all foods (note that while wheat is specifically identified, other sources of gluten such as rye and barley are not). Breakfast was delightfully presented, quantities on display were smaller than usual , emphasising pleasure in eating and health rather than excess consumption (but food was still plentiful ) . Enjoyed breakfast sparkling wine !

Excellent experience at Shiba Park Hotel. The location is quiet but close to train station. Staffs are extremely helpful and professionals. The skincare packages in the bathroom are one of the best we’ve tried. Free juice and complementary sake/wine with a simple survey are great. The interior design and book collections are definitely a big attraction. 10/10 will definitely recommend to friends.

We booked a Deluxe King room and emailed in advance to ask whether early check-in before 3pm would be possible, as we were arriving on Sat morning from London. We were told this was not possible and instead advised to book an additional night for the day before arrival so we could go straight to our room. We therefore booked a Standard King for the extra night. We arrived at 9:30am and were told breakfast was closing, so we were unable to eat after a 14-hour flight with an infant. We were then informed we would need to check out of the Standard King room by 11am (after barely an hour in the room) in order to move to the Deluxe King for the remainder of our stay. With little choice, we showered and left, assuming we would return for the 3pm check-in. As we were leaving, we were told our Deluxe King room was already ready, meaning we had unnecessarily paid around £200 for the extra night. As our first impression of Japan, this was disappointing. The rest of the stay was pleasant. The Deluxe King room was lovely, clean, well stocked, and we appreciated the facial cleansing reusables. The location and neighbourhood were excellent. After returning to the UK, we noticed an additional charge of JPY 8,490 (£42.44). If this was a city tax, it was not clearly communicated. We were told at checkout that everything was settled, and we did not use the minibar or cause any damage. With a more human and flexible approach, and clearer communication, we would have rated our stay higher.
