Check-in process was smooth, friendly staff. But the hotel has a very strong bad probably carpet smell throughout the hallway and the room. I had to turn on the AC to a lower temperature in order to get rid of the smell a bit. It wasn’t ideal at all! No safe in the room, and with reading a few reviews saying that their stuff got stolen, that makes me even more uncomfortable as I had to carry my stuff around, and the room is way too small, just unbelievably small. I respect other good reviews because they might get a bigger room with a decent price, but with the room I stayed and the price I paid, it didn’t meet expectations at all. I probably won’t stay there again.

Amazing staff - very friendly and helpful. The hotel is located very close to the subway station and Ameyoko Shopping District. On my trip to japan i stayed at tokyo, osaka, kyoto, back to tokyo. I stayed at tosei during the first week im tokyo, and booked them again for the last leg of my trip. Reasons were - staff was excellent in every way - location was great - room size was good for the location.

Great location in Ueno district of Tokyo. Close to the park, metro, commuter train, train station to Narita Airport, close to local shopping district. Family of four was in very small room with bunk beds (1 bed/person). Beds were fine but the space is tight with luggage. Quiet despite being in a busy area of the neighbourhood.

Nice hotel. Small space but good enough to sleep comfortably. Freebies include extra pillow (with choice on type of pillow), coffee and tea vending machine, snacks like gummies and green peas, and toiletries (esp love the bath salts). Towels were changed daily. Excellent location for food and shopping as well as varied transport options. Direct connection to Narita airport but quite a walk to Kesei skyliner station if you have luggage. Bunk bed had individual night light and sockets for charging phones etc. There’s a small table with chairs to eat inside room. Space was tight for multiple luggage but enough if just one or two.
