We had a lovely stay at the hotel. The building is gorgeous just as the grounds of the hotel and the nature around. The staff is exceptional - very friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. The breakfast is delicious, the dinner amazing as well although the dessert menu could be improved. Definitely can recommend this hotel!

We had a wonderful, relaxing stay. The staff were all very welcoming and accommodating throughout. The grounds and rooms are well maintained and food in the restaurant for both dinner and breakfast were prepared to a very high standard. The only thing I would mention is that there is a breakfast buffet advertised by Expedia; flagging that this is only for continental and the hot food is made to order (I imagine because it is a smaller amount of rooms than a larger property, so reduces waste and improves quality control), just to avoid any disappointment for those who prefer to choose themselves how many items/type of hot food they prefer. However, as above, the quality of the breakfast was excellent and there were plenty of options to suit all palates and a range of dietary requirements.

Reception was excellent. Grounds/estate amazing, miles of walking and an historic church with a 900 or so old Yew. It is worth reading the history of the place, layers and layers of it. They take beautiful care of the property. I had a beautiful room with a beautiful view right out my doors and a little patio. They do host big events ie weddings and it is not as peaceful, so you may want to check if there is a big event - IF you are seeking more quiet. I would return in a blink. In general i have found Hand Picked Hotels is gracious and treats guests like the manor house staff would have treated the owners. part of the history includes the 1987 storm went thru there a interesting to look at what happened. convenient to Sheffiled Park but take time to walk at Buxted also

Our second stay at Buxted Park. It is a beautiful Country house hotel with stunning grounds. The room was very comfortable with quality bedding, robes and slippers, a balcony and view to the lawn. There was a wedding while we were there but still a quiet stay. The reception staff were lovely, polite and very helpful too. I would come back again.

An Amazing stay

Our stay was amazing from start to finish. The attention to detail was exceptional. Even to the point of providing gluten free biscuits in our room! The staff were so friendly and helpful. The food was incredible. We honestly think this was the best hotel we have ever stayed in in the UK.
