The Rusland was a quaint motel in need of an update. The basin was cracked, the carpets were frayed, the curtains dragged on the floor and were starting to fray, and the restaurant prices seemed high but saying that the breakfasts were good the room was nice and parking was good it even had car charging point. Overall it was a nice place to stay. Unfortunately the view from our window was facing storage sheds or the washing line so not fantastic, the staff were nice and booking in was straight forward, they even sent an email a day beforehand for you to confirm your arrival. Good place to stay if you are touring for a couple of days.

Room was big and clean just dated. Bathroom good size powerful shower! Room 19 is accessed at end of beer garden with patio area including table and chair. Could hear road noise and noise from rooms above. Plenty of choice for breakfast. Lots of parking.

Great Hotel as a jump off to visit the Lakes

Pros: The owners and staff were very welcoming and overall our stay was one to be remembered.

Cons: Nothing

Location: Located back from an A road and just off the Lake District main area. Local activities included a Steam Train/A car museum/ Tour of the Lakes.

My wife and I spent three lovely nights at this hotel where the staff were excellent and welcoming. Our room was at the back which was quieter and the restaurant menu was varied and good.

Pros: Everything - would I stay here again - It's a yes

Cons: Nothing

Location: Location: Close to Lake District / Close to Barrow / Close to Train trip to Windermere

Excellent price for what was provided. Evening meal was plentiful and quality
