Beautiful, charming hotel, pleasantly suprised!

Such a pleasant suprise, a beautiful hotel with clean rooms. Slightly dated but in condition. Gorgeous views and very friendly staff. There is also a lovely spa. Within a good distance from Lake windemere, ambleside and bowness walks (about 30 minutes). This is a beautiful and well priced spot for the south lake district exploring, highly recommend!

Highly recommend this place for peace and quiet in the middle of nowhere. Rooms were pretty basic. Staff were really nice and friendly! However the price is too high for this/not worth the price. Swimming and other facilities are a bit complicated and not easily accessible.

Enjoyable stay

We enjoyed our stay, however our room was small and dark but comfortable . Staff were very nice. The hotel did look tired in places. Would stay again but would ask for a different room
