There was a wedding going on at a facility across the street from the hotel. The music was loud. The staff moved us over to the other side, so that was nice. Otherwise an average hotel. A bit dated but no worse than some of the Fairmonts I’ve stayed at before. Not a terrible hotel, but I wouldn’t stay here again. Too much risk for noise with all the events going on around this hotel

Ok

The not so good: room was not cleaned very thoroughly (food under the table from previous guest); the lady at check in and check out was not friendly; hotel is in need of a bit of love (for example new shower curtains, desk chair had pieces missing out of it, etc); restaurant in the hotel made mistakes on all 3 of our breakfasts and we did not find it was good value for what you got. The good: we used a free night through hotels for this stay and very glad we did not pay the full price for it; staff at restaurant were friendly; location was super great for exploring Granville.

We loved the walkable area. Te aquabus just outside were a great way to explore Vancouver. The public market, shops and Vancouver Fish Co were outstanding. The GIH had a great bar and restaurant with outdoor seating. Friendly staff

Lovely location on Granville Island. But be warned parking on the weekend is tricky and the hotel spots fill up fast. The hotel staff were excellent in accommodating my car I t he 5 min only zone though.

Amazing hotel with various dining options and activities in the immediate vicinity. I drove onto the small island and they had a decent amount of designated parking in front of the hotel, for i think $20/day. The room was clean and comfortable. Everything is walkable, or a cute and short water taxi ride to other parts of Vancouver like Downtown, False Creek, etc. Excellent for a 1 night stay for anniversary, birthday or celebration. Granville Island is extremely busy in the summer so plan accordingly for arrival/departure/parking.
