Area is close to dining, shopping and to the main attractions. Staffs are nice and friendly. Room is old & dated, AC was not working good thing the weather is cool when we went. Breakfast did not have a lot of options.
The room had some issues. The shower head holder was broken and the shower door broke on my 2nd day.
Getting from the front desk to the room was an adventure. A convoluted combination of goi g up an elevator, down halls, then down stairs, more halls then up stairs. I don’t mean for that to sound negative...I just think some people will want to keep that in mind when booking. For me it was part of the charm and i felt like I was staying in a very old building....again...that added to the charm.
The location is fantastic. If (when) I go back this is the first place I will look at to stay.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS! BUGS! Smells horrible. Bed horrible. Service nonexistent. Food not worth even for free. Worst hotel in my life! So hot in the room you had no choice to open window then room filled with mosquitos all night. Super noisy from alley traffic. The bed was 2 twins shoved together and hard as wood. Pillows (only 2) were hard & flat. The ONLY positive thing about staying here was the location to St. Marks square only 2 minutes walk. There are amazing restaurants close by so you are not hostage to the meager offerings here. We’ve traveled this trip to 9 countries and this experience ruined Venice for us!
The man that greeted us when we checked in was so rude and should find a different job. Be aware that the air conditioning only stays on for 5 minutes and then turns off and you have to keep turning it on and sometimes it wouldn’t even turn on. Our room was so hot it was miserable. Our room and the halls stunk so bad. The beds are so old they still have springs in them.

There were no vegan breakfast options available, which was disappointing. The staff didn’t seem very helpful or attentive, they appeared busy and not very responsive. Cleanliness was okay, but the area outside the room had a strong smell, like someone had been smoking. Overall, the stay could have been better with more focus on service and guest comfort.
Concierge wouldn’t let a friend come up quickly because I had a single room, even though they weren’t going to stay. Otherwise, clean room, a little dingy but good enough.
Would recommend you find another hotel to stay at. Finding the room was terribly inconvenient as it was not even in the same building. We booked two nights and left immediately after the first night as it was infested with mosquitoes and possibly even bed bugs. Spend a little more money, walk the extra mile, whatever you do, please stay somewhere else.
The location of this hotel is unbeatable, the shower had a leak on the top and would spray water everywhere outside of it, other than that the hotel and location are beautiful.
We had booked two nights at this hotel..when we arrived they gave us different hotel..which was not even 1 star..how come they gave us a different hotel then what we had booked…I called Expedia at the same time but Expedia couldn’t do anything!!!!!

The hotel is nicely located. But needs repair. The carpet floors in the room make them smell musty.
It was good value, not the biggest room but well presented with friendly staff. The breakfast was a bit of a let down, cold salami and cheese every day with cereal but it was included in the price can’t complain too much. Good location near St Marks and decent air con which is important for a good nights sleep with the local humidity.
