Amazing location, close to airport and to center of the city. The rooms are very modern although in an ancient historical building. Breakfast is great, but scrambled eggs were terrible 😂

Beautiful building, but quite noisy

Great location and all the sites are within walking distance. The rooms are well designed and spacious. We found it very noisy at night and a bit studenty. The breakfast was awful. Not enough staff or food out and very poor quality .

Best stay I had in Venezia

I was surprised by how good this place was! Converted from a historic monastery and hosts student dormitory, hostels and apartments, Combo was surprisingly modern and well kept. Even the shared room was spacious and offered more personal space than any hostel I had ever stayed. Set up like a student dorm, a set of shared rooms has its own full kitchen and bathroom! I would definitely return here next time I come to Venezia.

After our VRBO cancelled with us we took a chance booking Combo for a party of 6. Although the rooms are plain, the accommodations were superb. Would definitely recommend.

Beautifully restored historic and modern hotel

We had a lovely stay at this unique hotel, set in a beautifully restored old monastery. The historic atmosphere is truly special, with tasteful modern touches throughout. The courtyards are a highlight—plenty of cozy sitting areas and lounge chairs, perfect for relaxing. We enjoyed the charming café and on-site restaurant. The rooms themselves are quite basic—meant to be a dormitory accommodations rather than a typical hotel—but they were very clean and functional. The bathroom and shower were compact but newly renovated, with great water pressure. The overall ambiance of the hotel is what made the experience memorable. That said, it would be great if some rooms were reimagined with a bit more hotel-style comfort, rather than dorm rooms. The reception area could also be improved to feel more like a welcoming lobby rather than a plain office. We also enjoyed the neighborhood. It’s a bit farther from the main tourist sites, but it felt quieter, less crowded, and more authentic. Overall, a charming place with great atmosphere.

What a brilliant place to stay in Venice! Location was perfect, just slightly away from the main busy areas so it felt peaceful, and so close to Fondamenta Nova for access to ferry network. The hostel is beautifully clean and the beds were comfy, air con works, everything functions great (down to the laundry that is €3 per load, payable by card and includes the detergent). The room was really sizeable, plenty of space and basic options for cooking with an under counter standard sized fridge. Breakfast was enough to set you up for the day, with fresh fruit salad and hot options of eggs, bacon etc. The real joy is the old building itself and the cloistered courtyard. It’s such a treat to have this amount of space in Venice, and on a hot afternoon, coming back to enjoy the courtyard and read in the shade looking at the orange trees felt like a real treat. The building itself is stunning. The staff are really helpful and friendly, and as non standard hostel goers (44yr old mum and 16yr old daughter) we felt entirely comfortable and the young people/students staying in the hostel/accommodation were respectful and very quiet! We couldn’t fault it, and will be recommending to anyone visiting Venice!

Comfortable and quiet lodging. The decor is basic, but the space is comfortable. Near the water bus stop from Venice airport and in an area was quiet at night. The front desk staff were very engaging and helpful. The restaurant dinner was tasty and the onsite breakfast worked well for our family.
