Where do you start! What an awful place to stay. I’m shocked that there were any positive reviews at all. I booked a junior suite as a birthday treat for my partner. First they gave us a room that was clearly not a suite nor was it in any of the pictures of the hotel suites. They initially told us there were no other suites available as they were all occupied but after we insisted, there was a suite that became miraculously available after a couple of phone calls. The room was better but we had a broken shower, wood lice, dirty and ripped furniture and the flooring was falling apart. I was also bitten by some bugs on the bed and there was blood on the sheet.You could not make this up even if you wanted to!!! After further complaints to ebookers (where the booking was made) and to the hotel, again another suite miraculously became available. This one was a lot better but there was no hot water. Apparently it was due to the hotel not having a big enough tank. The furniture also needs to be replaced as they are dirty and have seen better days. We ended up checking out a day earlier as we could not bear it any longer. After posting pics on social media - ebookers refunded the 1 day hotel stay as the hotel refused to accept that there was an issue with the hotel although we had the pics that backed up our claim. Dear Sir, We are really sorry that your experience has not been positive, but let us disagree with your review and reply to your review point by point (as we already did though Ebookers): "I booked a junior suite as a birthday treat for my partner " - We saw this information and we have welcomed you with a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine upon arrival, as a special birthday treat. "First they gave us a room that was clearly not a suite nor was it in any of the pictures of the hotel suites" -The Hotel has only Junior Suites, not Suites. All of our rooms as clearly showed on Expedia and Ebookers with complete description. "I was also bitten by some bugs on the bed and there was blood on the sheet" - Probably you confuse bed bugs with mosquitos, which are different.. bed bugs are carried by travellers themselves through suitcases and, if present, force the hotel to make a total disinfection of the room for at least a week (which has not happened) "There was no hot water" -Hot water was unavailable for 10 minutes in all the Hotel. The water wasn’t cold but lukewarm. No other guests complained about it. "Ebookers refunded the 1 day hotel stay as the hotel refused to accept" - This information is wrong: the Hotel decide to offer you a refund, not Ebookers. The charge was made by the Hotel so is the Hotel that refunded the amount to your credit card, not Ebookers. Despite all above listed, we make our apologies if we missed something; our main purpose it to improve our service and it is feedback like this that we learn from. We work hard to deliver an exceptional guest experience, and it's apparent in this case that we fell short. If you give us a chance to earn back your trust, we can assure you that we will do our best to give you the great hotel experience that so many of our guests have grown so fond of.

Perfect trip to Venice

Can't say anything bad about this hotel, the most friendly staff, cleanest rooms, exceptional service and to top it all off, we received a day trip to a glass making factory on Murrano for free which we had planned on doing anyway! The wifi can come and go at times, but the staff at reception were always more than happy to reset it for us. We thought due to the location of the hotel and busy streets around it, the noise would be a problem at night, however, each night was as peaceful as the last. If I ever go back to Venice, I will be staying here and will be recommending it to my friends and family! Very central to everything with lots of choice for lunch and dinner to eat out

City Break

This hotel is perfectly placed in the centre of whats going "on" in the city of Venice. You could not ask for a very reasonable priced hotel to be better positioned than a five minute walk from St Marks Sq. The staff were very helpful and quickly put right a couple of small issues with the room when we arrived. The only down side to our room was the condition of the bath, it really was showing its age to the point that we choose not to use it. That aside I would use the hotel again because of the friendly staff and its location.

Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Duschkabine ist sogar für mich etwas zu klein. Schade finde ich auch, dass gewisse Einrichtungsgegenstände defekt sind. Ein bisschen Farbe und hier und da ein Einsatz mit Werkzeug wäre sinnvoll. Die Lage ist aber absolut perfekt!!!

Gezellig weekendje weg

Het hotel al Ponte dei Sospiri was een grote meevaller! Alles was tip-top in orde, zelfs met ontbijt op de kamer zonder extra te moeten betalen! Echt een super verblijf!!

prachtig hotel in Venetie

uitstekende ligging kan niet beter centraal gelegen zijn, om de hoek is het San Marcoplein. voor het ontbijt moet je wel naar een ander hotel (slechts om de hoek) gaan, dit is een zeer groot minpunt, anders zijn de kamers zeer sfeervol.

Es war traumhaft und das Hotel liegt genial

Im Hotel waren sie sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich. War immer jemand an der Reception und der Service war sehr gut. Das Frühstück war in einem anderen Hotel und das war am Anfang etwas gewohnheitsbedürftig. Aber der Service war auch dort perfekt und es gibt keine Beanstandungen.

Tolle Lage

Das Hotel besticht durch seine Lage und seinen Charakter. Die üppig venezianische Austattung der Zimmer ist schon fast kitschig aber eben noch geschmackvoll. Die Zimmer relativ groß und an Sauberkeit und Service gibt es nichts auszusetzen. Das Frühstück habe wir im Schwesterhotel um die Ecke eingenommen, das für italienische Verhältnisse absolut in Ordnung war. Die Möglichkeit das bunte Treiben rund um die Seufzerbrücke inklusive täglichem Gondelstau aus erster Reihe fußfrei beobachten zu können, ist ein besonderer Benefit des Zimmers mit Kanalblick.
