Excellent hotel and superb location

Great Hotel within easy reach of town centre and the ferries. In addition to the Hotel's own beach facilities the free Public beach is across the road Great restaurant but hotel might consider adding tea/ coffee /snacks throughout the day.

Good girly weekend

Apart from the hotel being too far from the boat port and buses not running 24hours it was a great weekend, hotel itself was really nice.

valentine surprise trip

The hotel was perfect the staff were fantastic they couldn't do enough for us .one of the things missing from the room was a kettle and cups tea and coffee but we were given a kettle and cups on the first night . it would have been nice if the bar and restaurant was open before 6.pm but I think that is going to change from march this year.pity about the rain on the Friday and sunday but its what you make of your stay that counts .would love to come back in summer as many of the bars and resturants were closed but still had a great time .

Great staff, but not a great location

The staff at this hotel were a credit to the hospitality industry - friendly, helpful, knowledgeable. What they cannot compensate for is the location, on the outskirts of a residential district, adjacent to derelict apartment buildings. Nevertheless, as two female travelers we still felt safe. Please be aware that even if you book a three day pass for the water taxis this does not extend to the ferry to and from the airport to the Lido (15 Euros pp each way). The Lido is a sleepy place with very little to see or do, and has the difficulty of being a water taxi away from Venice, which was also rather sleepier than I envisaged (but then I am from London, so perhaps my expectations of a world city are a little skewed). It is only a 15 minute journey to Saint Mark's Square from Lido, but you have to get to the departure point first, and a cab will cost you 15 Euros for a 5 minute journey. There is nothing by way of outdoor space or patios/ balconies, but the beach is across the road. It being February, and the weather conditions unkind, we did not explore that option! I'm sure it would be a pleasure to stay in the summer months, or during a mild Spring, but I would not otherwise stay here out of season. If you go here, please check out La Taverna - local to the hotel - fabulous staff, great food, a good atmosphere and very affordable. In summary - comfortable, great staff, but a little isolated.

Brilliant city trip

The hotel was brilliant and we really enjoyed our stay. The only thing would be the food in the restaurant is a bit pricy for what it is.
