The Crandall Lodge is quaint, clean and comfortable. There were actually dishes, dish soap and kitchen rags in the kitchen, and an ample fridge, making simple meals doable. The bath products were lovely and the towels were ample and soft.
The deck needs to be fixed and stained, and the door locks were funky. Our first key was actually bent and didn’t work.
The desk clerk was missing for 15 minutes at check in and didn’t apologize, explain, or seem very friendly. The breakfast waitress at the hotel was crabby and loudly complaining. Our dinner waiter on Friday evening was one of the best we’ve ever had, and dinner was exceptional. Other than those things, we had a lovely stay.
