Boyfriends birthday treat away

Everything has been just amazing! The staff are very helpful and friendly, with such attention to detail. Our room was stunning (we stayed in the Bowness Suite) with the best views ever over the lake! Booked the Bentley to take us down to a restaurant in the harbour for dinner with was ace and such a great touch from the hotel! Spent lots of time in the private hot tub watching the fighter jets fly low over the lake. It's beem magical, I can't fault a single thing. Thank you!

This was our second stay at Lakes Hotel & Spa and wow it was just as special as our last. Thank you so much for being so attentive and lovely throughout our stay. Couldnt fault anything apart from we were in room 131 and the privacy in the hot tub lacked a bit. Everyone that passed either on foot or in a car were gawping at us. A non clear banister would stop this. My wife felt a little bit awkward walking to and from the tub.

All staff we encountered were really helpful and friendly. I accidentally locked myself out my locker at the spa at check out date and the staff were more than happy to help. We were greeted with a welcome drink and after we completed check in, we were told we were upgraded to a room with a hot tub. Oliver helped us to our room and explained how to use the hot tub and explained that the hot tub may be noisy as it is closer to the room than the floors above. The bathrooms may need a little upgrade, however, the room itself was lovely and relaxing. The spa is nice and relaxing. It isn’t big, however it has the essential, changing rooms with Elemis products, pool, 2 x hot tubs, plunge pool, sauna and steam room. You can get a drink from the bar from inside the spa. Only small con I have is there isn’t many loungers to chill on, however, this will not stop me from going back. The breakfast was in a beautiful room and really nice spread and options. Staff were a delight too. The hotel and spa was beautiful and I cannot wait to return. It is £12 to park your car there, however, it is for the full duration of your stay. The only minor con is the guests who stay in the hot tub, you are on the full view of people, please be mindful of what everyone can see what you are doing.

Great hotel. Not 5 star but could easily be.

Our stay was fantastic and we were made very welcome and cared for. I would absolutley recommend this hotel and its restaurant! But I would make those I recommend to aware of the following. A few observations: Lots of reviews agreeing the hotel could be 5 star but is not due to a few items. No body lotion in room, No ev charging capability, Balcony glass dirty, cleaners did not attempt to clean it, No coffee choice/ machine at breakfast, quality of coffee was poor, Poor quality tea in rooms (pg ‘tips). Other hotels with fewer starts collaborate with local tea companies. Walk through car park then pub to access spa is not 5 star. Charging those who book indirectly for parking is not a great experience and leaves a bad taste in check out.
