If you are after peace and quiet with fantastic access to many beautiful walks while based in a clean, warm and cosy cottage then this is perfect. It’s a short drive to small supermarkets, local bakers and art/craft shops We were lucky enough to see full starry skies and Northern lights during our stay. Dogs enjoyed the enclosed garden, we enjoyed cosy evenings with the log burner.

Honey cottage is clean, well equipped and if for those looking for peace and quiet, ideal.

Honey cottage is clean, well equipped and if for those looking for peace and quiet, ideal. The is plenty of space for shoes and coats. The living room is cosy with a really nice woodburner. Owners provide a generous supply of wood too. Heating is oil based and there is an easy to operate control in living room. The TV is fine. There is however no WiFi and no phone signal. You have to walk up the street for that and 4g. Kitchen has great view onto bird feeders. Owners leave a good stock of bird food too. We saw chaffinches, siskin, blue tit, marsh tit, house sparrow...even a couple of red legged partridges...without leaving the house! The beda are comfy and clean. There is a good amount of towels. Some of the furniture might need some tlc (eg handles came off the wardrobe. ) but this is a very minor issue. Bathroom is fine and clean. Utility room excellent. Garden is spacious...can kick a ball around with kids. Right from the door you can explore the area on foot but it is on a road and the cars(although infrequent) come along it fast. We explored Cairn Diamh (drove to start in Tomouvalin) and the Bochal circuit. Both local hill climbs within easy reach. Also enjoyed Bike Glenlivet. Very experienced staff offering bike hire.

Lovely stay at the cottage.

Lovely stay at the cottage. Thank you for the Christmas Decorations and the well stocked wood pile. Bit far from the pub but we managed. Would definitely come again.
