The hotel is in very good condition. Bedrooms and facilities are very good too. The breakfast was really good and the restaurant has enough space. A lot of options for dinner but it's not a very quiet place if you get a room facing the street, as there are several restaurants that close late at night.

Convenient location but stained carpet

Convenient location, overall the room is clean but is a bit dark, old and the carpet has lots of stains. There is no kettle and water in the room.

Great place to stay in Brussels

Great hotel in a great location. Excellent customer service. Great breakfast and thoughtful free cold drinks available in reception. The second time I have stayed here. I appreciate the international clientèle, which you don't see so much in the big hotel chains.

The room was huge. King sized bed very good. Staff very nice. Breakfast fantastic. Bed pillows small and only one each - improvement needed. The shower glass divider door was awful. The water went everywhere on the floor like a river. Big gap in the divider. Actual shower was great. Would come here again. Central position was fabulous.

I had a quad room and it was very big. The location is great and the breakfast was good. However, during my 5 day/ 4 night stay June 28-July 2 we never had hot water, not one day. The evening staff was rude and one of the men during the day time was very rude too when I asked about it. I was not given an option to switch rooms. I just kept getting the run around. Expedia managed to refund me a bit, I had booked 2 rooms and I was only able to get about $249 for both rooms as a refund. I found it ridiculous that a basic amenity was not provided. I would not recommend staying at this hotel. One of our rooms faced the main street and the noise level was horrible.

The staff is friendly. The room is clean and spacious. Breakfast is good. The hotel is walkable to all attractions, restaurants, and shops. It's right in the middle of everything. Convenient from the central station. It's pretty noisy. It's right next to a club. We didn't mind it since all the traveling put us to sleep.

This is an excellent location. It is sitting right in the old town with the main streets of restaurants steps away and lots of night time activity. It is just 2 blocks from the Grand Plac. The staff are friendly and helpful and the breakfast has lots of variety. The AC has full power suited for Americans! The carpet could use replacement but rooms are comfortable. I would stay again if I were in Brussels

Adequate but no more than that ….

Pros - good location near to Grand Place and all that has to offer. Only a short walk to bars cafes shops tube tram etc. The staff were generally friendly and competent . Not the highest quality but a good choice of Continental-style buffet breakfast. Can’t vouch for the hot/cooked items on offer tho. Flavoured water and pastries’gratis’ in the lobby each evening which was appreciated. Cons - Hotel is generally a little scruffy and in need of refurbishment. Clean enough tho. The neighbourhood immediately outside of the front door is pretty tacky. I ventured outside early Sunday morning to be greeted by piles of trash everywhere and a couple of guys taking a leak in the street just opposite.

The staff was very friendly and competent. They stored my meds in the lobby desk fridge w/o incident. The location was ideal for me. I walked to almost everything. The breakfast had everything I might expect and the breakfast area was kept clean throughout the morning rush. The room needed a serious upgrade - mostly carpet and draperies, which were old and stained. There were serious problems with hot water - twice I just gave up and took a cold shower.

Adequate for price

The hotel was extremely well located and felt like a good price in comparison to nicer hotels in the same area. However, it was run down, hair in the washroom, stains on the sheets, the paint has stains or something in several places, and the worst part was the carpeting. So while we enjoyed the location and service, and are not complaining based on price, we will also not return. This is certainly a 2, maybe a generous 3 star. The breakfast was also good.

We had issues getting in to 2 of the rooms as doors were worn out and in poor condition, ours had tape on the bottom because of a step into the room, the tape was all peeling off. Carpets were worn out, only 1 lift worked, stairs lacked directions to reception and where it did have direction pointed the wrong way. Bed was comfortable, breakfast was plentiful and its location was great. Just need updating and maintenance
