We were upgraded to the preferred club plunge pool room which we really enjoyed with our 1 year old. When she napped in the room we were in our private pool or jacuzzi tub. Pools are nice especially the ocean view off the adult infinity pool with the swim up bar. Smaller resort but has everything and everything is close. Beach sand was nice but ocean water discoloured due to sargassum. Buffet was ok but the restaurants were great. There were bars everywhere. You will see lots of weddings while in the pool. Shows were good especially the fire show. For a smaller resort I recommend it with an upgraded room

Resort wasnt for me Go to a nicer resort. The beach water washes up very brown & lots of seaweed. They try to clean it. No watersports at the resort. U have to book an excursion through a rep at hotel. Not very many people get in ocean. They clean up the seaweed each morning. They need more lawn chairs. My bed was clean. The floor was dirty and had hair in the shower and in front of the toilet. I saw it & got grossed out so i put down towels so i didn't have to walk on the dirty floor. It doesn't appear that they mop between stays. Soap pieces were in the shower. The end tables next to the bed had drink glass residue that wasn't wiped down. I brought disinfectant wipes and cleaned the room myself. I requested towels & toilet paper in the app and i would get a notification that it was resolved and no one had come to my room. I asked for my room to be cleaned in the app and i left out. I returned after i received an app notification that it had been cleaned. The room had not been touched. I signed up for a bike ride to puerto morales with the hotel because i was so bored. Guide was nice & he directed me 2 a souvenir shop where i believe he was in cohoots with the owner. The owner tried selling me 2 magnets for 45.00 american dollars. Breakfast buffet & Seaside restaurant was great. Hibachi grill was broken at Japanese restaurant. I felt hustled. I couldnt just check in, they had me sit down & do a presentation on amenities. Bathtub was dirty see photos

Room & linens were clean, however one of the nights there was a leak coming from the ceiling. Great air conditioning in the room. Was disappointed in the sports bar; playing kids movies during the football & baseball games (there were no kids watching the movie). Making reservations with a large group was very difficult. Good variety of food options.

The Resort was beautiful, and staff were very friendly and helpful. Being a resort with Kids I was nervous but it was not that bad with having the Adults only pool and Area. The Food was ok but very bland everywhere we went. I think the best food was served at the Wedding Reception and Wedding rather than at the Restaurants that were on ground. 2 of the Restaurants were closed so there were less options also. Only bad thing I would say is when it rains the pathways and are areas flood and are VERY slippery. Staff do their best to push the water away, but the type of stone used when wet is not friendly. Saw many people fall and 1 even had to have medical attention. Overall compared to all the resorts I have been to this was Average.

Decent, but wouldn’t return

This was our first time at Dreams Riviera. We absolutely loved the staff! Everyone was so nice, kind and helpful. We can’t say enough good things about the staff. There also isn’t a bad room as far as location. Each room has a good view. Next time I would definitely splurge on our own plunge pool. Those rooms looked amazing. We loved the kids pool. Here are some things we didn’t like: -Most of the elevators weren’t working, so we had to take the stairs up 4 floors multiple times a day. -They ran out of towels very often at the pool. -We are pretty sure we had sand fleas in the room. There was a lot of sand on the floor upon arrival and we were so itchy in our room! -The food was awful, like really bad. -There’s no privacy in the room. The bathroom and shower have a glossy glass door and doesn’t close at the top, so if one person goes to the restroom, everyone can hear and smell it. We didn’t love that.
