Overall, a decent resort when compared to others in the price range, some strong points but also some rough spots. The good - the property is incredible! The vegetation is amazing, and the large pool was without a doubt the best we've ever seen. Everything was clean, and the rooms were spacious, although some are showing their age a little. The beach was just okay - the staff kept it clean, but it wasn't very usable as far as swimming because of the jettys and rocks. It was still nice to venture out though! Similarly, the food was okay - buffets were average, but the crowded nature made it overwhelming for both the patrons and the staff (who were definitely trying their best!). The dinners at the reservation-required restaurants were top notch though, but: The dinner reservation system is not good - we arrived in the late afternoon, and because you can book out two evenings, everything (and I mean everything) was full for our first three nights, so we didn't even have the option. We were able to book for our last three nights, but this was also not a great experience as you had to line up early and it took a long time. Only being able to experience 3 of 6 dinners at the restaurants felt a little like we didn't get what we paid for. Finally, the place makes you pay for WiFi beyond two devices. I have never had this experience before, whether at a cheap motel or an all-inclusive - making people pay $100 for two additional devices feels cheap and unnecessary.

Overall, very good. The rooms were well maintained, kept very clean and stocked throughout.The food options and service was strong, the pools were pristine and there was lots of activities and entertainment on the resort. The kids club option was really cute, and the fitness facilities were amongst the best I've seen in a location like this. The staff was generally pleasant and helpful and wanted to make the stay special. This was appreciated. However, I recommend doing your research in advance. There were several small drawbacks which could be avoided. For example, you need to reserve dinner two nights in advance, which means you may not have a reservation for the first two nights. The service desk that connects you with excursions was slow, terribly uninformed and disorganized. We wondered if this was a deliberate strategy to place one in a situation where you had to pay a heavily inflated price. I would have liked to have seen a bit more enforcement of the conduct rules, some guests behaved in a ridiculous manner - but I get it, they weren't really staffed for that. Beware of the offer of a 90 minute presentation for their premium club in exchange for discounts. We had assumed it was an information session but turned into a near 3-hr, awkward hotel California style confinement. We literally had to become impolite to end the session. All that to say, it was a great experience, punctuated with minor irritants which can be avoided. If given the option, is rate 4.5/ very good

Exceptional week for our family of five (teenage kids). 3 properties to explore all walkable and so safe. Marina property had more kid activities. Ventus is where we stayed and was an active pool but the main pool wasn’t a party pool. There is also an infinity pool and adults only pool on the Ventus property. Ventus Ha had two rooftop adult only pools and at least one, maybe two ground level pools. This is a great place to watch sunset and for a view over the entire area. Our room had a semi private pool that wrapped around our building and was where we spent all our time. Food was good. Coffee shop is great and our family loved the lunch buffet, especially the tacos, ceviche, and the crepes. Marina and Koko were our favorite restaurants. Make dinner reservations for those two restaurants as soon as you arrive on property. There are shows every night. We enjoyed the Latin dance, magic and fire shows. The staff is exceptional!! So kind, cheerful, and hard working. They were a great example of service hearts.

All inclusive, but it’s a nightmare to make a reservation at any of the restaurants, and you aren’t able to make reservations until after you check in. Reservations were already unavailable for at least three nights. Long lines at a very mediocre buffet. And the wedding planners were not very good. An outdoor wedding was pushed indoors because of a tiny bit of wind, but the “indoor venue” was the hallway outside of the convention center rooms. Seriously. Lobby wedding.

Wifi is not included in the services and worse you pay every 24 hour, at this day and age that is a bit outdated,right? I wished that I would've known that because I just assumed you can get wifi anywhere especially a 5-star resort?
