Our check in was very quick and the staff were all very friendly. our room was okay but the bed !!!! was so uncomfortable I could not sleep in it so was glad we had a bed settee in the room to use, which was a lot better than the bed provided. I would highly recommend the hotel to purchase new mattresses as comfort is the only thing missing...... Great breakfast and quick check out.

Shocking stay. Queued for an hour to check in, no hot water in the room and no functional phone to call down to reception to report the problem. I have followed this up with hotel for a refund and they have accepted that all the problems were there but ‘unable to offer me a refund’ they have offered a complimentary upgrade for a future stay. I will never use this hotel again awful experience

Were there for a gig at the pricipality staduim. Was about a 25 minute walk to the centre of Cardiff and another 5 minutes to the statium. Plenty to do in the hotels area too. Great place to saty in Cardiff.

An expensive hotel for what is a budget hotel, no fridge, no drinking water, minimum tea, coffee, milk. Door card temperamental. Bed very hard. Corridors dirty.

Great stay

Excellent check in, although very busy they were quick & effficient. Hotel is very clean and rooms are very well maintained. Staff are incredibly helpful & very polite. Restaurant is excellent as well. Only hiccup was getting stuck in the lift due to a technical issue. This was however dealt with quickly & efficiently by the in house team & reception staff.

that people have celebrations, it would have been open and considerate to inform us about this. When I spoke to the evening staff, they apologised but could only provide us with an email address to contact. When I received an email, I was only offered an upgrade to a suite, if I book again and not on the occasion of a concert, sporting activity etc. So not putting customer satisfaction as a priority, they had my money and there was nothing I could do. Just not good enough!

Upon arrival, the receptionist on duty did not acknowledge us and continued to carry on with whatever he was doing on the computer. Eventually, when he did acknowledge us, we were greeted with a very blunt 'Next!' and he continued in this manner throughout the check-in process. Even the person waiting behind us looked at us and raised eyebrows in regards to how we were treated. Another member of the reception staff assisted us later on with ordering us a taxi, very helpful, thank you. The room was very basic and not overly clean, beds very uncomfortable. Positives were the room was spacious and the air conditioning was a god send during the heatwave! Reception area and bar very clean and inviting, pleasant bar staff. We did not eat so unable to comment on the food. This hotel is not a 4 star in our opinion.
