I booked and paid extra for a premium room. We were given a very tired looking standard double (4'6" bed).
When we queried this, we were initially told that premium rooms need to pre-booked - it was, then told that our room was, in fact, a premium room - it definitely wasn't. We had stayed in July and had a premium room, it was far superior.
I emailed the hotel and asked them what the criteria was that differentiates a premium from standard. No reply. I emailed a 2nd and 3rd time, but no-one has had the courtesy to respond. Hugely disappointing.
The moral of the story is, dont bother paying extra for a premium room, and staff there aren't that interested in their guests.
