Paid extra for a Club room. Still basic hardly anywhere to hang your clothes. Nicely decorated but not worth the extra. room was very hot and windows only open a small amount. TV didnt work. Couldnt get coffee machine to work. Hair dryer turned itself off halfway through drying my hair. Had to wait for it to cool down! It seems anyone can go up to the accommodation you dont have to use a room key to access the lifts. I thought this was a security risk these days. tried to get breakfast at 9.30 but it was too late! So not a very good review.

Great staff on the front desk, didn’t get her name but the lovely lady helped with check in/out and with any queries. Room was clean, very hot even with the windows open. Quiet first night but second night someone was having a fight/argument outside our window at 4.30 which woke us up. No remote for tv when we got there but found it under the towels in the bathroom. Pool was cold and not much room as had baby swim classes which were not advertised otherwise we would have gone at another time, changing rooms were clean and spacious - you need to bring a padlock otherwise your lockers open to anyone. Breakfast was not the best, bacon, sausages and eggs didn’t look cooked and the croissants were hard in the middle so couldn’t cut open, the coffee wasn’t available on the first day and second morning it tasted like frothy water. Food and drink are expensive and not a lot available, 3 drinks we ordered were not available, 1 being coke. Not worth buying the discounted breakfast and food option, little pub down the road had lovely food for half the price. Parking is free from Friday 5pm till Monday morning. I would stay again but just not get the food options.

Friendly staff

We stayed for 5 nights. Very friendly staff, nice atmosphere, lots to do, amazing gym, good classes and the pool area was good. I felt as though the pool had lots of chlorine as my eyes started watering in the pool even when I had my googles on. The pool water also started stinging my face. Nice enough bedroom and bathroom. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable but the heat made it very difficult for us to sleep. There was a small fan in the room but it did nothing to cool us down.

Location: Optimal. Cardiff city centre is accessible within minutes by vehicle. Design: Modern aesthetic. Interior decor is cohesive and visually agreeable. Personnel: Consistently courteous. Assistance rendered with efficiency and a smile. Accommodation: Sound insulation is substandard. Audible disturbances from adjacent rooms and early morning gym activity resulted in sleep disruption. Low-frequency vibrations were perceptible. Breakfast: Quantity acceptable. Nutritional value skewed toward less healthy options. Conclusion: Suitable for short stays; however, significant auditory interference may compromise rest quality.
