I booked a classic room with King Bed but the bed was a double and not what I paid for. The toilet seat was loose and falling off and the towel radiator was falling off of the wall. This was reported to reception on check out. The bar service is poor with the bar regularly left unattended. The breakfast is excellent as are the staff in The Green Lady restuarant. Unfortunately the other issues let the hotel down on this occassion

Very clean room, room was extremely spacious and loved how it was decorated. We ate at stockmans bar, not too much food options but what we had was really nice. We had drinks and used the snooker table and sat in the drawing room with the fire on which was lovely. The pool and gym were both really good. All staff were lovely and polite and friendly. Breakfast was very good as well with good choices of food. The only issue we had was the fire alarm going off at 2am because someone had set it off during a shower we were told. Apart from that, we had a lovely stay and would go back.

Our stay was very brief, arriving very late and checking out after and early breakfast so almost unfair to rate anything other than the room was clean and comfortable. We had picked the cheapest double room due to nature of our stay but still didn't lack any of the normal expected amenities. Breakfast was very pleasant with a nice choice and cooked to order hot food with a cold buffet. Ideal. Lovely setting in woodlands and safe car parking for sports car. We intend to stay for longer next time we visit.

Rooms are tired and very noisy from the corridors and rooms around, there seems to be very little sound insulation. Staff are friendly and helpful but the restaurant menu is very limited and even then had unavailable dishes. Breakfast was excellent

Overall a good hotel but just let down in a few places. The dog goodie bag was super with ball, chew and poo bags. The rooms are just in need of a bit of TLC with some patches of wall needing fixed and there was no TV signal ?? Food was good and staff very helpful.

Staff v friendly and efficient. Dinner and breakfast perfect. It was lovely to use the dining room and drawing rooms with the log fires mid week. The swimming pool and spa an added bonus. The fifth star might have been earned if the bathroom black damp on the window had been better sorted?

Staff great, breakfast OK Bed comfortable but the room was terrible (209). Plaster coming off the bedroom ceiling, bathroom - toilet seat broken, would not stay up and moved, bath surround broken and bath itself had big chunks of enamel missing. Wi-Fi didn’t work and the television would only show some channels. BBC ones were highly pixilated and unwatchable. Carpet in room wrinkled.

I was just an over night stay for a wedding at a different location the room was average but pricy the radiator in the bathroom was hanging off the wall,the shower cubicle was a bit too small for my husband but over all it was okayish didn’t feel luxurious but a beautiful location

Rooms are tired need upgrading. Leisure facilities are mixed- jacuzzi out of order changing rooms no locks working on lockers. No soap in dispensers. Pool was good as were steam room and sauna. All staff were great Food was excellent Service a bit slow and got our wine order wrong. Public areas were nice. I would go here again for a meal but nothing else.
