We are from Louisiana and we frequently stay at The Westin in New Orleans, we jokingly call it our apartment in the City. We are able to book a junior suit and we are always upgraded to a corner suit and we always get the breakfast voucher and the $15 bar voucher. The room is literally like home away from home. Its spacious, clean, inviting, "our apartment in the city". And the morning breakfast is to die for!!!!!!!!!!!!! We expected the same ESPECIALLY in Florida!!!!! First, a suit was not an option, when I asked I was told I would have to go through sales and they were not there - Strike 1. Next when we got to our traditional King room IT LOOKED LIKE A COLLEGE DORM ROOM - I was so disappointed especially when paying over $150 for the room - Strike 2. Then after being told breakfast would be free my husband is told its $26 per person - Strike 3. I went back down and one of the workers there told me about the breakfast voucher that we were never informed about. He ultimately allowed me to get the breakfast at no charge. Now, we have no problem with paying what we pay for the hotel rooms and we do so to enjoy the property and its amenities. It was suppose to be a 2night trip that unfortunately turned into a 4 day trip. We spent the rest of our trip at the Marriott which is walking distance right down the street from The Westin. We will still enjoy our Westin apt. in New Orleans but never in Lake Mary Florida.
