We had a wonderful experience. The grounds around the Kauai Inn were kept immaculate, it was a very family friendly environment, and the staff was absolutely top notch best of the best. The manager went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay and time on the island. All of the staff was very friendly. I would definitely book again if planning another trip to Kauai.

The room was OK, although it would have been very helpful to have more hooks to hang things on. But the biggest problem was that there was music playing nonstop by the pool that was easy to hear in my room. It had been raining so there wasn't even anyone out by the pool. It was very annoying. Eventually I asked the manager if they could turn it down or off, which they eventually did a while later. That helped. But they acted like it was a strange request. I've never been at a hotel before that plays loud music constantly outside of people's rooms. I probably wouldn't stay here again. I'm not giving it a worse rating because at least he turned it down, and the bed was comfortable.

I’ve been coming here for 20 years. While some interior furnishings are getting long in the tooth, the rooms are always clean and the property spotless. Now if they could just reprogram the roosters to wait until around 9!

If you are looking for an out of the way away from the resort side of the island this is the place. You definitely need a rental car to get anywhere. Rent it at the airport as they say there is a rental there but it’s faster/easier to just do it at the airport. People are really friendly and rooms are clean but outdated. Grounds are immaculate. breakfast is pretty limited and doesn’t start very early. Many of the excursions start early but you can get coffee. The biggest complaint would be the chickens. They are everywhere and when trying to eat breakfast they are not afraid to jump right up on the tables. Air conditions are the old fashioned window type and are very noisy but work very well. They are located a long way from any food/ shopping.

Okay place for one night stay. Bed was big, but only one pillow per person. Only 1 nightstand. Bathroom seemed clean, had some drill holes near the sink. Rooster did wake me several times 4-5am. A/c kept the room cool, but was dripping down the wall. Convenient location, cheaper place for Kauai.

Check in was wonderful. Alfred was very friendly and professional. The room was clean and spacious and the grounds are beautiful. Breakfast in the morning was delightful. They had a local musician on Friday night that was really good. Would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay again! The ALOHA is awesome!!!
