Lovely hotel and staff.

We booked this hotel to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. We were not disappointed. Everything was perfect from check-in to check-out. hope to visit again in near future.

Pros: Location, room, food, staff
Location: Heritage railway and nice area for walking and sightseeing.
Hotel in ideal location, near to town and overlooking the river. Room, staff and food was excellent.

beautiful views and terraces overlooking the river

Pros: Friendly staff, good food, comfortable rooms.
Cons: The noise from a compressor or pump ( to do with the leisure facilities?) which droned all night in the background.
Location: . Enjoyed a steam train ride and visiting station shops and shopping in Llangollen. Good menu at hotel for evening meals on site.
Weekend break to attend a classic car run on Sunday, his meant we didn't have to drive to join the event and could relax locally thereafter. Enjoyed a steam train ride and visiting station shops and shopping in Llangollen. Good menu at hotel for evening meals on site.

Nice spot

Back in the day I can assume this place was stunning It's a lovely spot , right on the river , needs a bit of updating, but a nice stay , would recommend only 1 bad point for me , carpets in bathrooms , always make wary of hygiene & spillages

Nice hotel, friendly helpful staff.

Easy to find, within walking distance of Llangollen. Good food at reasonable prices, and the spa was an added bonus!

Family run hotel on the River Dee.

Pros: Everything, great value, friendly staff and excellent location. A nice relaxed atmosphere.
Cons: Breakfast. Too carb heavy, possibly some ham/cheeses and better choice of fruits and yoghurts.
Location: A few minutes from Llangollen where there is a train station with steam and old diesel trains running. White water rafting/canoeing etc
A weekend away in the lovely Welsh town of Llangollen. The White Waters Hotel, is a 5 minute drive out of the town, but overlooks the River Dee and it's also possible to view the railway line, which although no longer a mainline does tourist runs from the station at various times. There is also a 20 minute riverside walk into town, incorporating the Victorian Promenade. The hotel has it's own spa, should you fancy a full pampering break. The staff were very friendly and the food in the restaurant was excellent value and delicious. The room was modern, comfortable and very clean. We were fortunate to get a view over the terrace and river. We will definitely return to Llangollen and to this hotel.
