Within 1 minute of arrival the toilet seat fell off the TV was broken, reported this to staff who was aware of these issues!! Couldn’t fix the TV but did give me a fire stick but had to fit it myself- massive buildup of dust behind tv ! Plaster falling off the wall , was told there was live music finishing at 11 but it went on to midnight, an email telling me that when I booked would have been the right thing to do Room ok but overpriced Ideal if you are a contractor but definitely not for the leisure users

A nice friendly welcome, the room was light and airy. It needed more pillows and the sink in the bathroom needs some attention

I think some of the reviews are a bit unfair. Yes the WiFi doesn’t work and neither does the TV. It’s also the noisiest pub in North Wales. But there is a car park, it’s clean and my single room was £50. Bargain.

The room was cold, no heat from the radiator. Informed the barman who said it was fixed but it wasn't. Only one pillow, toilet paper ran out, kettle water tasted strange, and late night access was via the fire escape stairs. Not even sure there was staff on site after 10pm. Very discomforting.

Bulkeley arms

The stay was ok, the heating in the room didn’t work for a while so it got rather cold plus our window was broken which let a draft in we tried to fix it. The door to the hotel uses a fob at the back it didn’t lock anyone could have entered. The twin room tv didn’t work in the room it also sits directly above the music speaker in the pub which is ok but not at 1.30am where the music continued 🤔 The staff were very helpful.

FREE PARKING AVERTISED WAS EITHER COUNCIL CARPARK WHICH WAS FREE ONLY AFTER PM OR STREET FREE AFTER 6PM.THE PUB FREE WIFI WAS DOWN HAD TO USE THE FREE COMMUNITY WIFI.NO CHANNELS AVALIABLE TO WATCH ON THE TV AND THE HEATING WAS OFF ALL THROUGH MY STAY SO ROOM WAS COLD.THE LANDLADY WAS LUKE WARM NOT A REALLY FRIENDLY WELCOME.

No Food

for one night it was fine. I like staying at pubs but this surprised me as it was a NO FOOD pub. No evening meal nor breakfast which I hadn't noted when booking. Pub isn't manned in the morning so you exit via the fire escape.

Room in need of decoration.

I was warmly welcomed and shown to my room. The room is dated and in need of decoration. A Seat stool was unsafe and needs screws tightened. The shower body was empty. Also the pub advertised and had pictures of food but stopped this some weeks ago. The bed was comfortable and I slept well. In the morning a woke up to a strong smell of sewage.

Property had character. Comfortable clean bed. Room had television control gadget but no television. The pub closed down at 8.00pm Tuesday and I got locked out.

One nights stay.

Ideal working stay - I arrived fairly late after work but was greeted by a welcoming barmaid who sorted check in etc. I'd imagine there's more background noise on busier nights/weekends but it was acceptable enough for me with a pool team finishing up their games in the bar. Bed was comfortable enough and everything functioned as it should.

Excellent stay

Excellent stay for 1 night as we were visiting Dylan's restaurant 2 mins walk away. Check in was excellent, was busy in pub but lady behind bar was very professional and very helpful explaining everything we needed to know. Room twin was very clean and lovely. No issues with noise from pub. We had drinks and sat in area outside which again was lovely. Highly recommend this pub for stay. Close to everything in menai bridge

A few issues…

Very basic. Hair on bedding. No hot water in hand basin. No free parking in spite of saying this was available on hotels.com. The fob was temperamental and it was difficult to get into the building at 11.30. Shower was ok. Price was much cheaper than other hotels available.

I enjoyed my stay but i would like to see have restaurant in this areas as there is no restaurant of my choice so i had to take away meal as the place where i stay, they do not cater the evening meal and breakfast as well
