When checking in the young man at the front desk could not find my “reservations” and informed me that I had to call Expedia to have them send over the information. My question is why did I have to call? Where is the customer service? Second problem was during my stay there was no hot water the very next day. A different young man gave me a key to room #904 and told me that I could use the room to shower because the maintenance man had not arrived yet. Go to room #904 and someone suitcase is lying on the bed. The room is currently occupied. WTH. Go back downstairs and inform him of the situation and his response is “what do you mean”. Really!!!! Now I am given room #1001 to use for showering and thank goodness it’s not occupied. Later on go downstairs to the front desk again and the maintenance man is there, therefore, I explained the situation regarding not having hot water. The maintenance response is that the hot water would not be fixed today. So my options are to move to room #1001 or continue to go upstairs and shower. Both options are inconvenient to me because I would have to pack up all my things and move up there and in the morning I am lugging all of my toiletries and clothes to take a shower. All I can say is that you can’t make this stuff. The hotel itself is a nice hotel and very close to the boardwalk and beach. The only issue I had with the room itself is that there isn’t much lighting at all in the room. The staff is very incompetent and inexperienced.

Upon arrival, another guest had walk away from the counter to address something with her party. I walked up to the counter just for my parking pass and he made me wait while she went outside, came back and finished her transaction. The halls were filthy. We had no guide to how to get to regular channels and had no hot water last night or this morning.

The hotel is very close to Ocean Blvd and the wheel. Meaning, within walking distance of Ocean Blvd. Also, one can see all of the “happenings” on Ocean Blvd from the hotel balcony. The property is ocean view and NOT ocean front.
