Let me start off by saying, the persons that work here were mostly accommodating and polite! This hotel is dated, my first encounter at the check in area was good, the place was pretty and clean. When I went to my hotel room it was a different story!! The ceiling was cracked in several areas, the room and kitchen and bathroom were all small and definitely not worth the money they charge. The pool was almost always full with unruly people and their children, no pool attendants corrected them from jumping or splashing other people. The towels they provide were thin and very cheap. The bed was uncomfortable and the WiFi was spotting everywhere, when I first got into my room all 4 lamps shades had mold all over them, it was horrible. Don’t get me started on the “Cafe” ….overpriced and terrible food! Our waiters were all sweet and accommodating but the prices were high and the food not good!! I would never stay here again and I would never recommend anyone to do so!

The amenities alone making this spot totally worth it will definitely go back it was a lot of fun water park & pools are open until late which was great. the beach was gorgeous & offered water sports. The arcade is a nice touch but its tiny & almost half the games were out of service which was a bummer. the restaurant is super cute but service was horrible and food was not good. The server was very kind but do not recommend the restaurant at all such better places to eat in the area. The room i saw online i feel looked very different than what we got and the cleanliness was definitely questionable. the room was small especially the bathroom but it definitely was an awesome view (oceanfront) the hotel itself could use some cleaning & upgrades the parking garage was gross and you had to pay to park which was also annoying. The elevators were filthy and the halls were all carpeted which i found odd. We got his with a bad storm one night and water sushi started coming into our hotel room it was so odd and trying to get ahold of the front desk to let them know was nearly impossible called 6 times before someone finally answered. They also don’t come to clean the rooms which was kinda ick but we really only used the room for sleeping and the amenities were so great and fun that it made it worth staying

Everything was good here. My only problem with it was the confusing organization of the three towers and the elevators and the parking. There was no air conditioning to escape to in the main towers, and no air conditioning in the elevators. We were there during a big heat wave though. Everywhere was sweltering.

The rooms were really nice, wished the dj was out longer than 4pm. Pool/Waterpark was great Loco Gecko could do better at service and food quality. Twice our order was wrong and felt like we were being rushed to get out. Other then that great stay. Will be back.

Very family oriented. Parking is very tight and gets full at times. Staff are nice and hard working. I imagine it is hard to stay on top of elevator cleanliness but the staff give it a good effort. At no time was I out of my room when I didn't see one of the staff cleaning up after the guestsor their children.

I took my daughter, 4 grandkids ages 11,10,6,4 and my 71 year old dad on vacation. We stayed in Tower 1. Booked two rooms. First room ready at check in at 2:30pm took about 30 minutes to check in. I asked if we could upgrade to a two bedroom as I was willing to pay extra was told no because I booked through Expedia told to come back at 4pm to check into the other room as it was not ready yet. Went back at 4 and that took 45 minutes to check in again. Food at the restaurant was terrible, line to long to get a drink at the tiki bar. Hard to keep up with four kids at the Waterpark with the layout, one elevator was not working in tower 1, granddaughter went to the ER due to an injury at the waterpark. My father’s room key did not work half the time and had to call maintenance. Our door to our room never even locked!! Parking was not the best and hard to find a cart for suitcases. I could go on and on about this hotel. Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Only good thing about this hotel is the location.

And the water slide stairs have a door at each level and with the parking lot right there I can’t believe kids are not abducted on a regular basis!

Terrible Experience – Never Again! Our stay at Crown Reef Resort in Myrtle Beach was a complete disappointment from start to finish. We specifically booked adjoining rooms and went out of our way to call and email multiple times to confirm this request. Upon arrival, we were told that our adjoining rooms were not available, with no real apology or effort to correct the situation. To make matters worse, adult sex toys were found in the elevator and, despite reporting it, they remained there until the next day – absolutely unacceptable and a clear sign of poor housekeeping and management standards. Both of our suites had toilets that ran all night, indicating a lack of maintenance and care for the rooms. This place feels like a “one and done” stop for many guests, and we can see why. We will never stay here again, nor would we ever recommend this facility to anyone. Crown Reef Resort – do better! You give “Dirty Myrtle” validation!

The room was not clean. They put us in the wrong room. We booked a king bed suite and her gave us two queen beds. Tub, floors, walls, curtains, and kitchen was dirty. Found old food and crumbs on the floor. Beds were comfortable. They do respond fast when you need things. For the price on this site, it’s worth it for the most part. Don’t expect a lot. The price on their actual site is like double. If I had booked on there, it would’ve been a problem. I dealt with the issues due to the price being decent on here.

Lovely location, easy access to the beach, great slides, hot tubs, and water slides. Pool bar closes way to early each day, hotel room doors are very hard to open and close.

We loved this resort,we've never experienced anything like this before everyone was so nice and polite and the room we stayed in needed a little work on it but other than that it was great,we'll book with this resort again.
