A needed break, but.

Check-in was easy. Very informative. Getting my bags to my room was a bit frustrating. The doors are not automatic and they do not swing back and fort, so you have to have someone hold them open. Pushing the cart and trying to hold the door open was a bit much. The ice machine(only one) was on the 7th floor all the way on the other end. I stayed on the 4th floor. The mattress was hard, and there was no comfortable chair in the room. The staff was nice. Location is great. And the waterpark was enjoyable. Oceanfront room, loved it.great balcony view.

I liked that ot was so close to the beach. While it looks like they have upgraded, the floors are puffy in areas, one elevator was broken, and we had hardly any water pressure. The waterpark was nice and staff was very friendly and helpful.

We had an Oceanfront room with usable balcony & comfy beds! Restaurant on site & more great restaurants nearby! Outdoor waterpark, pool and seating around firepit in front of the Restaurant that also had live music at night. There was an indoor pool, hot tub & Arcade. Security was riding around on golf carts monitoring things. Location was nice! It was a short drive to some amazing places to eat, shopping & attractions but not in the center of Myrtle Beach so it was much less crowded and more quite! I really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again!

The first impression wasn’t bad as the staff was extremely friendly and kind, however once we got into our room, the floors were so dirty that my children’s socks turned black with filth. I called the front desk who had their cleaning staff come to mop, but even after her mopping, the floor was still gross. I noticed that as soon as anything white would hit the floor it would automatically have a black stain on it. I was told this was because of the floors themselves. Either way. It made us Leary and we immediately left and purchased sandals to wear around the room. The property does have a water park “splash pad” and lazy river which we enjoyed. The outside pool was nice but the inside one was absolutely disgusting and with damaged floors that felt extremely dangerous considering their were puncture holes on the floors in random places that could have cut a foot if stepped on. The paint on the floor was peeling off, leaving a grit below your feet that just grossed me out. I instructed my children to keep their sandals on in this area as well. We only went in here a second time so I could show our oldest son and his friends where this was and to get into the hot tub which was also in the same condition. We did their game room activities & mini golf which was enjoyable. However the worst part of the entire trip was the level of discomfort I experienced on their mattresses. They cheaply, had zero padding. We couldn’t sleep and had pains because of this. Lastly Roaches came out.

One suggestion I have is about the pool, I realized that the pool always had bugs, plastic, cigarettes, and hair. They need to pass the pool net daily and also add a bit more chlorine. Another recommendation I have is that the hotel should remove the carpet for the hallways to the rooms because they are outdoor and always get wet due to weather and also people coming from the beach or pools. This caused a weird stench in certain parts of the hallways. They should also check the piping for the bathrooms because there was smell coming from the sinks and toilet. Other than that everything was great and I enjoyed my stay !

This property is on the beach - within a 5 minute walk. That is the plus side. Overall, the property is old and not well maintained. Our room had water damage on the ceiling, stains on the wall, stains on the comforter and bed linens, mold on the curtains, and rust in many places including the tub and sink. The mattresses are so thin that you can feel the springs in your back when you move. The mini fridge door was off its hinges and did not close properly. The “water park” looks amazing in the photos online, but in reality it is small and also run down. The front desk staff was ok. When we told them about the room issues, they offered to bring up new linens but would not make the bed. It was a busy weekend for them, so no opportunity to change rooms. Parking is limited. There is a parking structure for overflow but it is the worst layout - super small levels with sharp turns; lots of backing up in the structure so other cars can get out. Stress inducing to say the least. There is a restaurant onsite that we did not try and a pizza counter. Otherwise, you have to drive to get to other options. Will not be staying here again.
