Where to start...the balcony of our property was fantastic. The ocean was amazing. The condo unit itself was clean and well decorated but was much smaller than it appeared in the pictures. The unit did have everything we needed-towels, bedding, kitchen items and beach items. However, the double beds wouldn't fit two kids and definitely not two adults.
There were cockroaches in the stairwells and a smell of pot everywhere. The game room was dirty and not much of a game room .
The location was awful. There was nothing to walk to. IDK why the property says walk to Boardwalk. When we did go out for a walk my family and I did not feel safe. The only other people out were shady...druggies or homeless.
Our vacation started by being told our keys wouldn't work and we had to be at the property before 4pm to get new ones, or we would be charged $25 dollars. Note check in is at 4! Further...there was a parking pass missing from the room. We were told it would be dropped off around 6pm but it never came. I called the emergency line for Carolina Resorts at least 5 times over the course of 4 hours. EACH TIME I WAS PROMISED A CALL BACK BUT NO ONE EVER CALLED. Finally,I emailed someone from Carolina Resorts, who was very nice, and she called me and said the pass would arrive soon. It finally was delivered after 11 pm. We had three young kids.
The worst part was that the pool water ruined my kids hair, gave the kids rashes, and completely ruined my brand new bathing suit.
