Well situated on the esplanade with free parking. Within walking distance of all amenities. Hotel slightly dated however rooms are spotlessly clean. Continental breakfast of a good standard.

Seafront guesthouse of yesteryear

Pros: Good location, easy walking distance to town center or Dunollie.
Cons: Needs complete refurbishment with larger bathrooms.
Location: Nearby attractions include Dunollie, the Peace and War Museum, and the Oban Chocolate shop. Eat at Piazza or The Waterfront Fish House on the pier.
This old fashioned property is overpriced and dated, with a pervasive fusty odour. The owner took payment immediately upon arrival even before we'd seen the room and encouraged us to fill in the breakfast sheet ASAP, then disappeared without showing us to the room. Steep stairs (no elevator) led to a large room with the tiniest bathroom ever: a shower, toilet, and miniature sink crammed into a cupboard. Towels were provided on a box on the floor by the bedroom door; they smelled of sea water. There's a small car park. A sign asked for car keys to be left in a prominent position so they can move your car if needs be. Fortunately on-street parking is available immediately outside. Although the location is good, within easy walking distance of the town center or Dunollie, we couldn't recommend this place.

overpriced and dated

Best thing was the phone call with the staff to organise late arrival and early departure. They were friendly and helpful. Compared to other hotels ive stayed at for £95 a night this is way off the mark. Would have been better priced at £50. Room was old fashioned and a bit dingy. Window was facing an outside wall. Wanted to relax after a long drive but no space to do that in the room and the hotel lounge was locked.
