The included breakfast was nice - choice of a hot item as well as continental options. Check-in was smooth. The room was fairly small but it met the basic needs. Overall it was good.
The Ranald is a small hotel located very close to the pier, which was convenient for us since we returned late from Mull and needed a place to stay before driving back to Cambridge. The receptionist was kind and helpful. The hotel does not have a restaurant, and the breakfast options were somewhat limited. Additionally, there is no lift, which was a bit inconvenient as I am recovering from a broken leg. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.
Pleasant but hard to get fresh air in at night because if you opened the window but closed the shade, the air didn’t come in and the outside lights weee bright
The hotel was very comfortable. The room we were given was on the ground floor - coincidentally a handicapped room so it was amply spacious with a huge bathroom. The breakfast was very good. Parking was the only inconvenience. It was on the street and it was necessary to feed the meter every 2 hours. The town is interesting and good for walking, but most restaurants are closed from 3:00 to 5:00, it was hard to find a late lunch.
From check in to check out I’ve no complaints, staff easy to deal with amd so friendly, nice comfortable bed and hot shower what more do you need.
I also left an article of clothing so phoned up the next day and the staff posted it back to me, fantastic service.
Room was spotless and the housekeeping was perfect.
