Pool was closed on Saturday after 8:30 although when called the front desk it said it was open and security by the pool was telling everyone to come out. Some random man from the staff knocked on the door twice while we were in the room and opened the door very quickly and I caught him as I was going to see who it was. He claims he was checking to see if the room was clean but I told the cleaning lady earlier that the room didn’t have to be cleaned. I found it very awkward that they would just randomly open the door.

The hotel is beautiful when you first enter the property and the lobby. Thats the end of the beauty! Our room was right next to the elevator. The noise at all hours from people coming on and off, the dinging of the elevelator... all of this was way too loud for any rest to be achieved. We had to leave the tv on in the sitting area to drown out the noise. We ended up checking out at 11:30 PM on the second night rather than stay. The clerk at the front desk didn't care for why we are leaving even after informing her of why. No offer to change rooms. In fact she was a little upset that I even shared why we chose to leave early. TERRIBLE service! The pool, while clean itself, the cabanas (Paid $350) for the day was gross. The couch was stained, dirty and had a smell. They covered them with towels that where ripped. The safe did not work and the repair man never came to fix. It took 45 minutes to get towels, we had to chase down the server assigned to our cabana and while the manager did give us a $60 discount, it was towards food/beverages. Which was very nice but yet again, had to find a server.

Wonderful resort

Amazing trip!! The grounds are BEAUTIFUL and the staff was amazing. We did have to “hunt down”cleaning staff for our room (ie trash, more coffee, towels), but all in all, wonderful. We will be back. However next time we will be better prepared for the extreme drink and food prices. Ex: soda and bottled water were $7 a piece.
