There was a long line at check in and only 2 attendants. Our "gulf view balcony" had us facing North so that was disappointing but I suppose not surprising. The noise from air conditioning and whatnot made hearing the waves impossible from the balcony. The most unfortunate thing was that we had some expensive equipment in the back of our truck and specifically asked about security and garage parking. We were told our vehicle would be parked in the garage and there was 24 hour security. After checking in, we finally got to our room and went straight to the balciny to check out our view. Come to find out, we overlooked a parking lot where we watched our truck being parked in a far corner of the lot next to a public street. Unacceptable! So on our way to the beach we went back to the valet stand and made sure the truck was moved to a safer covered area. So after saying all of that, I do want to say the room was nice, clean and cool. All of the staff was very nice and accommodating. (Even the valet). The pool area was wonderful and the beach was awesome! We only spent one night and it was a Monday so things closed early, but we did have a nice stay.

Very disappointed!

We were extremely disappointed with this hotel overall. The rooms were filthy and in bad condition. I’m not entirely sure our rooms were even cleaned prior to us checking in. The shower floor and walls were covered in hair and dirt. The bathroom doesn’t have actual doors. They slide close like a closet and not even completely. The rooms don’t come with microwaves but have a refrigerator. The carpet was so dirty that the bottom of my kids feet were black. I refused to walk barefoot or take a shower without shoes. The restaurant food is over priced and customer service was terrible. We went once for breakfast and never went back. The valet parking was disorganized and chaotic. The best part of the hotel other than proximity to the beach and local restaurants and shops was the pool. The staff at the pool were very nice, had excellent customer service and the food was good as well. Sadly if we visit again we won’t be staying at this hotel.

We requested a gulf view and only got half of that as most of the view was a wall. As you stand in the balcony you can only hear the air conditioners running so you could not hear the ocean. Speaking of air conditioners, ours did not work in the room (was never fixed). One elevator was broke the entire time so you had to wait for one for awhile. They charge a $35 daily fee and only found out what that gets you the last day. And worst of all, my wife’s wedding ring was missing after we returned to the room when housekeeping was completed.

I like the location of this property. It’s close to everything you need, food, beach, pier 60, walking, etc. However, the property itself is outdated. The rooms are small, it’s obvious, they’ve painted over old walls, instead of doing a true remodel. There was a small refrigerator, but no microwave. During my stay the outlets and room phone did not work. Only the outlet in the bathroom and the USB ports worked. Also, the air conditioner was extremely loud and only blew directly over the head of the bed. This was one of the cheaper properties in the area, but it can definitely use a remodel. Service was great and I loved the onsite dining options and activities. You really don’t need a car at this property, there is a lot to do in walking distance of the hotel. I was just disappointed in the condition of the room.
