We came there for our 10 year anniversary. I chose that because I travel a lot and never had an issue with them. I feel because we chose not to go to their sales meeting they would not let us do late check out, they did not upgrade us, because I am a member, and have stayed in literally hundreds of Marriott’s, they always upgraded me without asking or hinting it. I would expect a little more since it was or anniversary. But they didn’t even seem to care about any of that. They only thing they cared about was their little sales meeting. I’m sorry, but we were there for 2 days only and wanted to just rest and relax. I am not one to write a review, but I feel that it was necessary because of the treatment received. Not that it was the worst, but they made no effort for us. And that is disappointing.

No Housekeeping service. We were told it wouldn’t happen Saturday. Sunday we got back to room, no one did the housekeeping. When we called, they said they had too many guests and were unable to. Assured me it would be done Monday. We requested at least towels, over 2 hrs to arrive after a long day at Parks. Monday, we arrived and again no one came by to refill coffee, towels and clean up. Again I called and they said they didn’t know why no one had come by. Terrible service. Again we had to wait over 2 hours to get clean towels. For the price, better hotels in the area with better service. We were never even informed that free breakfast came included with reservation.

A Bit Hit & Miss Here! Should be so much better!

A large room with a very comfortable king bed and a balcony with a beautiful view. Great shower and the complementary products to use were of good quality. Disliked the coffee machine as I don't drink coffee and the hot water from the machine is tarnished with a taste of coffee. A kettle would be much better. Very noisy in the morning and throughout the day with the cleaning that takes place which is a real shame as it spoils the serenity of the resort. The noise of the bats at nightfall is a little unsettling but I understand we are sharing their environment. The grounds are gorgeous ans well maintained hence the noise I mentioned previously. As I was not driving a shuttle to the entrance of the property from the lobby would have been a nice touch as it's a bit of a walk however you can request help with your luggage when you checkout which was most helpful. I've never had to checkout at 10.00am before and I am well travelled. I was not allowed to check out any later on request, even if I paid to do so. The staff are rather unfriendly, smiles are hard to come by and they are quite dismissive. Some also converse very quickly as if they need to get to the next person. I did not feel respected nor comfortable in conversation with them. This is evident in the reception and Conciege departments. The Bellboys, pool side and gift shop staff are much more approachable and willing to help. Loved the lake and the opportunity to partake in boating activities.
