The hotel is conveniently located near amenities, but the staff was not welcoming. After we checked in, no one even directed us to the elevators. The only exception was the wonderful housekeeping lady who cleaned our room—her warm smile truly brightened our day. The front desk staff and parking attendants could certainly learn from her hospitality. Additionally, we were scheduled to check out at noon, yet at 9:45 AM, someone attempted to enter our room without knocking. Thankfully, we had the bolt secured, ensuring our privacy. Unfortunately, due to these experiences, I will be choosing a different hotel for my next visit to Ottawa.

Good hotel

Beautiful and super well located but small window in the bedroom, no wardrobes nor sleepers to go to the pool, plugs to charge the phone didn't work. Wonderfull pool with jacusi.

We had a great stay at the Lord Elgin. The only thing worth noting is the park for larger vehicles. We have a standard size truck that wouldn’t fit in valet parking so had to walk back and forth to city hall to access our vehicle.

Enjoyed our stay at Lord Elgin Hotel

Valet parking was very convenient. Check in was quick and easy. Both the room and bathroom were very clean. The bed was comfortable. The lighting in our room was excellent. I love a room with multiple bright lighting options. Check out was also quick and easy. Looking forward to our next visit to Ottawa and the Lord Elgin Hotel.

The lord Elgin was very well kept, the staff were friendly and greeted us promptly. I have to say the valet staff were exceptional. Location is very close to a lot of amenities and venues.

Great area, walkable to the ByWard market, Parliament Hill, and the Rideau Canal for skating. Friendly staff, and the room was nice and clean. A couple areas in the hotel could use a refresh, but it has it's charm nonetheless. There's only valet parking offered, but there is an underground lot across the street. Would also prefer if the room had a safe.
