There were some minor maintenance issues, which were remedied immediately. The staff were friendly and the location is perfect, as shopping, dining, coffee spots are literally around the corner! The cleanliness of the rooms was good with room for some improvement - although this was not enough to marr the experience in any way :)

This is our second time in a swim out room and we love it. The pool access is a bonus, proximity to town, the marina and the beach is also a plus for us. Easy to walk everywhere means we didn’t need a car for the time we were there.

We have stayed here twice now and both times excellent. Wedding Anniversary this time and they upgraded our room along with a bottle of wine which was very much appreciated. Everything is easily in walking distance, large pools, quiet and safe and very friendly staff. Would definitely stay there again.

Stay at Matra Aqueous was excellent. It is in a great location, close to beach and main township area of Port Douglas. The pools are great, though would be nice if one was heated. Only disappointment was that only two coffee pods are provided per stay, and when I asked for more the charge was $12!

Amazing location and staff. Rooms are bit hot and miss as some rooms need refurbishing asap. Thomas the manager was super helpful and displayed great customer service. I travelled with my 5 year old daughter who loved the swim out pool.

Great Location. Friendly staff. Stayed in the Ground Floor Room with walk out to pool which was great. Spa was great. Room was small. Nowhere to put suitcases. Bathroom old and needs renovation. Shutters were in need of repair. Definitely needs renovation so a bit expensive for quality.

Property is starting to age. There were a lot of half finished jobs around - the hallway to our room had holes in the walls and then all the tools etc to fix were sitting next to that for the 3 days we were there. Spa’s are lovely and lots of in room amenities
