Good value hotel

After a smooth check-in, I got a spacious modern room with a nicely appointed ensuite that had a good large shower. Overall the hotel had a friendly and helpful atmosphere. It also had a good secure underground carpark (accessable by lift from within the hotel) I arrived about 5pm on a Saturday and the attached restaurant's kitchen was closed so I had to make do with a takeaway but that (as well as a large supermarket) was closeby, about 7min drive. The hotel is located in an industrial estate and so is easy to get to by car with Sat nav. The only 2 small negatives were that I couldn't get the TV to work and the toilet bowl was loose, but that was just my room on that occasion. I would have no problem staying there again.

Great stopover hotel

This is first class budget hotel with large rooms,helpfull staff, great beds and food available in the complex.The only negative from us is that the pillows were too flat. You need to sort out your system and tell us what the ratings mean,I have assumed 5 was best rating.

If you arrive on a Sunday night after 7pm on Jan 3rd then you need to enter all your details to gain entry. Not too difficult but after an 11 hour drive !

Cheap accommodation in Rioja country

This is a basic business hotel in a bleak industrial park. The decor of the rooms is "interesting" but perfectly acceptable. The café adjoining is excellent with friendly helpful service. Allowed us to escape the tyranny of Spanish meal scheduling.

Excellent stopover for Bilbao ferry

We booked a two night stay to break a long journey from the south and have an easy start for an early ferry departure from Bilbao, one hour away. We were very impressed with the hotel and will use it again. There is a restaurant that serves tasty food that is good value, menu del dia 10euros. The free breakfast was basic but sufficient. The location is an industrial estate but there is secure garage parking which was important to us as we had all our belongings packed into the car. The room was clean and large enough for a family room with a large bathroom. Lastly, we would recommend a couple of nights because the hotel is on the edge of the rioja region and we found plenty to do and see on our couple of days.

Don't do it

This is not what I call a hotel. They close from 11PM till 7AM. This means that you are on your own at night, no matter what happens in the building. There is only a phone number you can call if you have problems accessing the building late at night, but that's it. I had to work the night I stayed there. The Internet stopped working and there was nobody to fix the problem. I just could not work. I also was short of towels, and of course I could not ask for more because there was nobody there. This is not what a hotel should be. What of there's a fire? A quarrel? A problem with the A/C?

One night stop over.

We arrived at the Hotel on Saturday at 18.05 only to be advised that the restaurant closed at 18.00 and would not re-open til 07.30 Monday morning. The staff advised we should drive into Miranda to get a meal. We could not find anywhere in the town centre which served meals. We did then find another Hotel on the outskirts but had to wait til 20.15 when they started serving meals. We could have done without this having driven 600 miles that day!

Stop over

Well we used for a stop over of 1 night as they accepted our 2 Springer Spaniels who are well behaved. Only fault was the aircon wasn't working and some one had left it on hot ! It was a lovely large room and bathroom. Did have trouble finding it via our sat-nav. Took us to the right road but it was much further along over 4 roundabouts. Can't fault it for value for money . Plus there was a good restaurant next door if one was hungry.

Good edge of town hotel

Restaurant was closed on day of our visit. There are no other local facilities, but hotel itself was fine.Miranda de ebro is the Crewe of northern Spain i.e. several railways come together, but not much else to recommend it.
