Great property!

We loved this hotel! There are so Many small details that help you to have a great stay! The room is not large but very comfortable, the service is nice and friendly. The location of the hotel is central and convenient. We will be back!

The first room I checked into did not have an appropriate lock on the door. All rooms had a swipe for a key card but this room just had a handle. You can lock from inside but not outside. They allowed em a different room which worked better. I’ve staid here before and it’s all usually the same. Clean, quiet, old elevator. Fine.

Good location, but expect some mild sound disturbance (not surprising) Good facilities, but the trend for open air showers to cut down customer shower duration is bothersome - and the shower head was too close to the wall to be comfortable. Good service, left comment for pack n play and it was ready upon arrival. Short check in.

This is my favorite hotel in San Francisco. Although I usually like luxury hotels, and this is not a luxury hotel - it is on the barebones side - the location is perfect and walkable for all of the places that I go, the facilities were clean and comfortable, and they don't have extras that I don't use like gross breakfast. They do have coffee, nice staff, nice bedding, nice showers, a desk, plenty of room, etc. The area doesn't feel safe at night, but I think that could be said for a lot of the city. Also because I booked through Expedia, they gave me a goodie bag including a $10 Starbucks gift card and drink tickets to the bar downstairs for happy hour. I'm going to go out of my way to stay here next time - no complaints. (And I am actually very picky.) I think it's probably best for business travelers and not families. Also, there is no gym.

I love this hotel. Stay here every time I'm in SF. This particular room (701) was loud because I could hear the elevator moving, but I've stayed in several other rooms here without that problem.

Nicely appointed room, nice floorboards, nice bed and linen. Window looked out over a carpark. No strange or loud noises. Pleasant staff. Had enough features as published to get into its star category, but like most US hotels, nothing extra. The area around Union square and Market St shows the effect of economic downturn - empty shops, less people, generally not dynamic. But felt safe.
