The breakfast is actually quite limited. This is definitely not up to the standards of this chain. We had stated many different countries and this is by far the most basic breakfast and not particularly impressive. I’m sure the chain can do much better than this.

Everything good!! Amazing location, garage parking very affordable. Easy walk to Pier 39 and Fisherman’s Warf. Wonderful outside spaces to lounge by the fire pits. The breakfast is fresh, and the choices were mind blowing! Smoked salmon, normal breakfast fare and brunch/sandwich options in a lovely dining area. A nice bar area and a grab and go with great hours and prices on such a great variety of foods and drinks. Our room was quiet and comfy. Will be our go to spot from now on.

I enjoyed my stay at. The riu plaza the bed was very comfortable and the floor was very quiet the breakfast was very good with a variety of stuff to eat the only thing they didn't have was any turkey bacon or turkey sausage I brought my own with me and the staff was very nice to warm it up I would stay at the riu when I come again the staff was very pleasant and friendly I asked about the microwave and was told why there is no microwave in the room I feel it should be put back into certain rooms if not all this is just my opinion if you are a member of the riu plaza the discount that you get for being a member should also be applied to the microwave once again just my opinion thank you naomi

The hotel lobby and bar area were beautiful, staff were gracious even though they were having trouble with the computer system that went down. We had to make reservations through Expedia because the Riu website was not working. However when we got there the woman at the front desk said that she did not see any reservations for us, and suggested we sit down and wait another half an hour. That did not make me happy. I told her we received the confirmation from Expedia and a minute later I got a text from the hotel saying welcome, as well. I stood back in line to talk to her to check on the reservation and she still had trouble finding it, but eventually was able to locate it. When we got to our room we noticed the floor was shaking as if there was an engineering room down below and was very distracting. We worried we would have to move rooms and not be able to sleep it was pretty bad. Bets were very comfortable sheets were great. Breakfast was wonderful with lots of variety, and the staff was very efficient. We were very disappointed to find that there were no extra toiletries such as toothbrush and toothpaste and lotion downstairs. We were told that we would have to buy them. We were just passing through town and had to unexpectedly stay at your hotel, and as much as we paid for the room you would think that they would have the simple items. We ended up paying almost $4 for mouthwash. Most likely won't stay here again.

Pretty nice hotel but when we arrived at 8PM we had to walk around fisherman’s wharf to look for a restaurant because they didn’t have one at the hotel. We didn’t feel safe.
