Had a great stay at Hotel Griffon! Bay facing room that was surprisingly quiet despite being above the Embarcadero. Staff was great and overall vibe was cozy, private, quiet, and welcoming. Area was great, too!

A mouse ran around our room when we were in bed and the desk clerk came up immediately and scared the mouse out of our room. We were moved to a new room and comped one of our 2 nights but it eft us uneasy

Hotel Griffon was a quaint hotel with lots of charm. It gives the vibes of a much older San Francisco. The staff were lovely and couldn’t help but to enjoy our stay. The location of the hotel was perfect for checking out the local scene as it was close to all the San Francisco touristy spots. A couple of notes of improvement however; there was no control over the temperature in our rooms and the accessibility to our rooms were ridiculously frustrating. The rooms utilized a key card slide system instead of a tap. The slide mechanism for our room was rather out dated and I need of repair. It would take us 10 minutes to get the key card slide right before we entered. The rooms had no individual control over ambient temperature so it would get rather hot in our room. Overall the Hotel Griffon is a hotel definitely worth staying at, but definitely not a go to.

Perfect location for baseball game. Decent lobby that opened to Perry’s restaurant. Nice bar there that closed at 9. A lot of events nearby that closed streets and made catching Uber very difficult during our stay. But location was great for meeting friends who came over on ferry.

Incredible Boutique Hotel on the SF Waterfront, walking distance to the Ferry Building, waterfront bars, restaurants. Breathtaking picture perfect views of the Bay Bridge, Ocean, and surrounding neighborhoods!! Hotel Lobby home to great, iconic SF Restaurant called Perry's!! Indoor/Outdoor, sit on outdoor patio and take in view of the Bay....right across the street!!!
