Great hotel, amazing views

I saw previous reviews about the cleanliness so was concerned. However, the place was very clean and presented really well. The balcony glass was cleaned and had an amazing evening and sunset up there! It was perfect. Some areas show quite a bit of wear and tare but generally it was clean. Only negative was that there was no hand soap of any kind provided so to wash hands in the bathroom / WC meant getting shower gel from the shower.

We were in a suite (room 808). There is a slight issue with that room (and possibly other rooms). The shower waste water outlet is slightly blocked so that waste water discharges only slowly. As a result, there was some (quite a lot actually) waste water overflow onto the bathroom floor (we did ask for an extra towel to mop it up but the extra towel never arrived). I think room 808 requires two things: (A) check the shower waste water outlet for a possible (partial) blockage; (B) room 808 needs to have a moisture extraction fan built in (and preferably also allow the window to be slightly opened). Both things need to be done. Otherwise, the bathroom will deteriorate rapidly. We could live with it as we were there only one night but others might be less tolerant (or have a longer stay). Rydges Cronulla is a great hotel with a perfect location. My girlfriend and I had stayed there before so we were happy to book it again. However, please be mindful of the bathroom design and plumbing.

Great location and the property presented well, was clean, the staff were helpful during check in. The only downside was that the hot water was not at all hot and the shower leaked a lot of water onto the bathroom floor. We also paid $30 for car parking and were not able to enter or exit the car park with the number plate recognition, it didn't work for our car.
